This was the perfect spot for a little getaway with the family + dogs. The place is so cozy and very family friendly which is what we were looking for. Could explore the beach right from the back door which my 3 year old was thrilled about. The house was stocked with all the right things and just made for a nice easy going trip. The recliner chair inside was so comfy and I could just sit and watch the waves all day. Definitely will be going back to Joels place!

Joel’s beach house was perfect for our needs. Our dogs throughly enjoyed stepping off the steps and walking down the path to the beach. We had fantastic weather, and would absolutely stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. The house was cozy, clean, and very well-equipped. Joel and Denise were excellent with communication and recommendations throughout our stay. Although the rainy weather kept us inside, it somehow made the beautiful ocean views all the more enjoyable. We did go crabbing nearby with our puppy and loved exploring the cute stores at the marina on our way. We hope to stay at Shore's Edge again on our next visit to Westport.

This was our second stay at Joel & Denise’s place in Westport. We absolutely love the location and proximity to the beach. Being able to bring our dogs to such a beautiful place is a wonderful treat. Our dogs ran like the gale force winds that graced us while we were there. :) We were able to go razor clamming before the storm, then relax in the comfort of their home to watch the winter storm and surf. The dogs LOVED it!! Amazing. We will be back for sure. Thank you for being such accommodating hosts. Much appreciated!

It was one of the most fantastic experiences we’ve had — wonderful amenities, fantastic views, great, peaceful deck for lounging, listening to the ocean or to take a walk to the beach. Very close access to clam digging areas — BONUS of having the outdoor hose for rinsing off beach boots, gear, etc and a Clam Cleaning station, adorable outdoor fire pit…full kitchen (luckily stocked with a couple minor things we forgot, and replaced!), the fire wood stove, BBQ…again, the beautiful beach peaceful view and air! Lovely and fantastic even in winter. Bundle up, get slightly under the overhang, watch the rain, breathe in the fresh ocean air…1000% we would LOVE to come back if Joel and Denise will have us! Oh! And the washer and dryer came in handy as well (when hit by some unexpected waves, rinsed sea water/salt water/hose outside, was so happy to have my one sweater to get back into later! Thank you for everything! The best!
