Jay's place was great! The location is ideal for any trip to Massachusetts. there was even a lot to do nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jay's.

Comfortable stay and right in the middle of downtown Haverhill. Within 100-300 feet are coffee houses, bars and restaurants. Only downside is the parking which is about two blocks away but other than that it felt like a NYC apartment. Tall wood cielings and brick walls. Great big windows and lots of foot traffic outside. Overall worth the price and location.

Jay was friendly & considerate. He provided parking garage access so that was convenient. The place was hard to locate/get into at first as there were no directions provided by host that we had to enter through the side of the building, in an alley. Luckily my partner walked around of the building and found the actual entrance. The apt was as pictured & in a nice location-walking distance to restaurants, dog park, waterfront, and parking garage. The apartment wasnt as clean as I’d hope as the fixtures/lamps were dusty, the comforter had pet hair & stains, and the fridge/freezer had food in it. On the plus side, there was an in-unit washer & dryer so I didnt have to bother the host for new bedsheets; i just washed the existing. It wasn’t mentioned that it is a primary residence and there was no space/storage to unpack clothes so my partner and I had to live out of our suitcases, which was inconvenient but not a deal breaker for us. Overall, i would mostly recommend.

We stayed at jay's place for four days and found the location well suited for us as we wanted to check out both Hampton Beach, NH (close 30 mins drive) and Boston (45-50 mins drive). It is located at the heart of a charming small downtown in Haverville, MA with a few cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The place itself is well decorated with a lot of character (particularly loved the brick walls and high ceiling). There is also a train station within two to three minute walk from the apartment that can take you to Boston although we never needed to take it since we brought our car. Jay is a very helpful host and answered our many questions promptly. We will consider going back again should we find ourselves visiting the area in MA or NH again.
