This is Sintra - land of the Fairy Tales! We are located in the very heart of Sintra Old Town Valley right in front of the amazing and unmissable Regaleira Palace.
You should also visit the National Palace, 600 meters up from our house, the Pena Palace and Park and the Moorish Castle on the top of the mountain, and a bit further away - 7 km - some of the most beautiful gardens in Europe, the Monserrate Gardens and Palace. But there is much more to see: the misterious Capuchos Convent in the middle of the Sintra Forest, the Countess of Elba Chalet, the Peninha Convent, the Cabo da Roca, continental Europe most western point, the amazing beaches of Adraga and Praia Grande (one of the best in the world for Surf and Body board) the Holy-Spirit village of Penedo, Almoçageme and Colares. To truly enjoy Sintra and all its attractions it is ideal to stay for one week.

You can park on the street in front of our property, there is plenty of space for several cars. It is always better to rent a car when visiting Sintra for there are many places to visit which are not easily visited if you are walking or depending on public transportation. On the other hand, there are taxis and uber services available to take you to the several palaces, parks and the beach.
There is public transportation to the palaces and also to the beach, but it is much easier to rent a car to move around in Sintra.
If you are not renting a car, the bus or the tram to the beach is 5 minutes down the road walking, and the buses to the palaces are 10 minutes up the road walking.
