Downtown Dahlonega is a must see!
The square is filled with local shops, restaurants, and various special events throughout the year.
Some of our favorite spots are:
Shenanigans - Irish pub and bar. Great food, and great atmosphere.
Zen Ramen & Bento - If you love Ramen and Bento boxes this place is a must go. The food is excellent and easily one of our favorite restaurants on the square. Super casual environment.

Canopy + Roots Coffee Shop - This coffee shop is delicious and also has such a calming cute vibe. They also have live music and stand up nights.
Paul Thomas Chocolates - This is our favorite chocolate shop! If you check it out, you will know why. The selection and assortment is every chocolate lover's dream.
Dahlonega General Store - Just a really cool nostalgic place. They have items that I haven’t seen since I was a kid. Highly recommend checking it out!
Dress Up - This one is for the ladies! The cutest little boutique with moderately priced seasonal and trending clothing. I have a hard time not going into this store everytime I'm downtown.
Bourbon Street Grille - 5 stars!!!! If you love New Orleans style cajun food, you absolutely have to go to Bourbon Street Grille. It will not disappoint. They do a brunch on Saturday and Sundays that is out of this world. Trust me on this one!
Naturally Georgia - This is a really neat wine tasting experience in a historic building downtown.
Spirits Tavern and The Smith House are also good! Both are a unique fun dining experience! Worth checking out.

Here are some recommendations outside of the square that we love:
Foothill Grill - Just an all american place but man is it good! The pancakes are probably some of the best pancakes I have ever had in my entire life.
Consolidated Gold Mine - A fun experience for the whole family. Take a tour deep down into a previously operating historic gold mine. Pan for gold and gems!
Hiking - A few of our favorites include: Mt. Yonah, Brasstown Bald, Preachers Rock, and many more within close proximity.
Chestatee River - Kayaking, tubing, and gold panning. Less than a mile away!
There are so many fun and unique ways to connect with nature in the North Georgia Mountains. We hope you get out and explore, and enjoy it as much as we do!
