The perfect amount of luxury in the Karoo! We really enjoyed our stay in the Gemsbok Cottage, the best (in our opinion) positioned cottage in front of a watering hole where Zebra and Springbok congregate in the evenings. We also liked that the woodfired tub was directly attached to the stoep. We appreciated the farm-fresh produce which was provided free of charge, and would go back just for Annatjie's delicious vetkoek which she kindly came to share with us on Easter Sunday! Some things to note; it would have been helpful if a Guest handbook was provided with additional info such the wifi password (make sure you get that when checking in as otherwise you will be stranded without signal), gate codes and remote instructions, etc. It should also include maps of the hiking and biking trails. Also to note, if you are travelling with a young child, there is a cot provided but no cot mattress (only a folded up duvet). Also take own braai/oven glove otherwise it was very well appointed.

Stunning location and house. The house pictures look amazing but its even more stunning when you walk in. The game drive with Alvin was incredible as we didnt realise how big the bioreserve was. Highly recommend this if you want quiet and very stylish time with nature.

We had a great weekend at Koemie’s place. Karoo was beautiful after the rain , and we loved the house. Everything in the house is exceptionally beautiful and the best quality. Very nice stoep to sit and watch the zebras coming to drink. Lovely fireplace with soft blankets inside for the cold. Will go again but stay longer!

Absolutley incredible! Slice of heaven in the Klein Karoo. Annatjie and Alwyn were amazing at hosting us while Koemie was away and we felt very looked after, but somehow they also managed to leave us feeling peaceful and private. The decor is beautiful and so tasteful, the kitchen had more then what we expected and the farm itself is tucked in a unique and magical part of the country. If you are a hiker, trail runner or mountain biker this is the perfect getaway! Thanks Koemie, Annatjie and Alwyn - we will be back!! X
