Griffon room at Mountain Bird Homes is dedicated to the misunderstood but the most majestic birds in the region — the Vultures. Our apartment homes are situated 5 minutes from the Dalai Lama Temple, in a village called Jogibara which is central but away from the hustle bustle of Mcleodganj. To get to the property, you need to walk 2 minutes down the main road, through an off beat path and steps. Please remember, this is an Airbnb and not a hotel. This room is on the 2nd floor, with a private balcony that overlooks the snow mountains and Kangra Valley, a 100mbps internet connection, a power back-up, a spacious private bathroom with 24x7 hot water and all the other basic amenities, a kitchenette with one of the best coffee and teas in the region, a French press, Kettle and basic cutlery. The common kitchen is only the same floor with all the amenities needed and free to use for all guests. The power back up has a life of 8 hours after a power cut. It supports a charging point, a bulb in the room and bathroom, and the Wi-Fi. The owner’s live next door, there are multiple cafés nearby, and our favourite - The Other Space, Illiterati. It take about 10 minutes to get to Mcleodganj and 15-20 minutes to get to Dharamsala from the village. We have tied up with a local taxi driver to be available whenever needed, and a few lady helpers who keep our homes and gardens clean. We would like you to respect the place, the forest in front of our homes by being as mindful as possible about your carbon footprint and helping us keeping it as clean and noise free as possible for the birdies and the shy wildlife around.
