Pelican Crest This fantastic, custom home sits on a ridge above the ocean in a quiet residential area north of Neskowin. You’ll be treated to peekaboo views of the ocean and airy views over treetops to the coast range from large windows in the great room, which has a vaulted ceiling that rises to the center of the home, lined in warm, natural wood. A free-standing, slate-fronted gas fireplace serves both the living room and dining room to double your enjoyment of a cozy fire. A large trestle dining table can easily support a feast, and a dining bar In the kitchen allows for less formal snacking or a glass of wine. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can extend your dining options with the gas grill and dining furniture out on the deck. Downstairs, you’ll enjoy a fabulous shared bath with a slate-lined walk-in shower and a large spa tub. Two king bedrooms, one with a twin bunk bed, and a separate bedroom with two twin beds, give you comfortable retreat space for lots of guests. A bonus room adds space room to relax and watch TV and includes a queen sleeper sofa. Walk or bike 1.2 miles through woodlands and wetlands to the beach, or hop in the car for the five-minute drive to Neskowin, where you can dine on wood-fired pizza, stock up on goodies from the Neskowin Trading Company, or walk the stunning Proposal Rock beach. At the end of the day, you’ll soak in your private hot tub under a sparkling, starlit sky and feel glad you chose Pelican Crest as your home away from home. I contacted the host on the evening of our arrival about a very strong pet urine smell in the home. One bedroom was unusable. The host repeatedly dropped the ball. The host said they would send someone over. No one ever came. It was very obvious that different people were responding to me and no one took my complaint seriously. Someone would respond to me in the morning and not again till the next day. We were unable to use a bedroom that would have been best for our family. I’m really disappointed by the level of negligence by the host.
Great spot on the coast, Neskowin and the surrounding area have amazing beaches. Super dog friendly with the gate on the deck and a great hot tub. Birthday girl was very happy (and a solid kitchen!)

Wow! This house really is well set up for a decent group. I came with 3 teenage girls and I let them take over the downstairs while I stayed upstairs. It was a good amount of privacy so they could have their “up all night” giggly sleepover, but I could be tranquil upstairs enjoying a hot tub and then lying on the MASSSSIVE sectional couch to watch TV. It was wonderful on the patio and in the tub, and the fireplace was warm. I cooked a great meal with utensils from the kitchen that were actually even more well stocked than my home kitchen. It was easy to keep the place clean, and the beds were very comfy. Cons: beach access should not be your priority here. The cleaning fee is a bit excessive for the amount of work they ask for you to do at check out. (Strip beds including duvet covers, take out all trash, remove all food, start a load of dishes, take the trash out of the house) I know it doesn’t seem like a lot but I spent 2 hours cleaning for us.
Will definitely return to this home next time we visit Oregon. Very comfortable and relaxing, amazing location, gorgeous views in a small, quaint town. The beach was breathtaking!
