Highly recommend booking with Mary and Tom. It felt as if I was staying with family. They welcomed us and our dog warmly and even made a huge breakfast and we were able to sit down an chat with them for a little while. They are simply delightful people and their home is gorgeous. If I'm ever in the area again, will definitely stay again! The room was super clean and the bed was super comfortable! Thanks, Mary and Tom for the lovely stay!!

Staying here was the absolute BEST experience of any Airbnb we have had!!! This was truly a restful retreat from a long 16 day road trip. The hosts were by far, the best we have encountered. They were warm, welcoming and so very gracious. They even took to our dog as an old friend. The fact that Tom made us breakfast in the morning truly was exceptional. When I told him others do not do this, he just smiled and said, "so what is the the bnb for if not for breakfast?" The walk around the lake was truly beautiful and the fact that our bedroom door to the outside was right on the porch made coming and going very easy. I will tell all my friends not to stay in any hotel in Rapid City but rather direct them to this glorious spot. Tom and Mary could coach other Airbnb hosts on how to deliver with excellence. Absolutely was a gift from God to have found this place. Truly was the magical rest we needed for the final push home.

It was a real pleasure to stay in Mary and Tom’s place. Their house is so lovely and peacefull. Everything was super clean. The bed was really confortable and the bathroom perfect. There we get the real spirit of AirBNB. We shared really good time and discussion with Mary and Tom! They are definitively super super hosts !!!

Honestly a Gift from God is an understatement. I came to SD for a wedding and originally was going to get a hotel but decided to look at airbnbs. I came across this one and the pictures looked great but I was on the fence between getting a hotel or staying there . Fate has it that I booked the airbnb and I was so lucky. My luggage at the airport was delayed and my friend who was getting married had to help me and we were running all around town I had no idea when I was going to get to the airbnb. When I arrived it was like it was from a fairytale book its a beautiful place in a quiet and peaceful location and Tom and Mary are the best hosts I have ever met. They actually care about their guests and their home provides a stay that no other hotel could provide. Plus the hot tub was nice and so many other things. If you are looking for the best lakehouse to stay during your time in South Dakota and come across this message this is your sign to book now
