Our stay at Bryan's house was exactly what our family was looking for! We'd gladly come stay there again!

We booked this last minute and were really happy with our stay! The caretakers lived nearby, and Bryan helped us arrange for them to cook for our group. The wife shopped, cooked breakfast & dinner, and washed up. She was extremely sweet, and we even got fresh fish the first night her husband had caught earlier that day. We did a bonfire at the beach one night and the husband saw us struggling to make a fire and walked across the street and made a huge bonfire for us! He was so happy to create that experience for us - it was truly amazing. The views of the beach were awesome. I loved lounging around in the hammock reading a book and my husband loved ending the day in the pool. I would definitely recommend. It wasn't just a place to stay - but we got the entire beachside experience!

Es war unsere Startunterkunft in Costa Rica. Das traumhafte Haus am Meer hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die ruhige, abgeschiedene Lage und doch gut mit dem Mietwagen zu erreichen entsprach unseren Vorstellungen. Einfach ein traumhafter schwierig zu übertreffender Einstieg für unsere Reise. Danke!

This property is in a beautiful location. The beach is amazing and the view from the house is spectacular. The house needs some love as it has many issues that seem to be easy to fix. There is a strong gas smell in the back bedroom, bathroom and washroom. So strong that the area is not usable and is very concerning. That same bedroom has water on the walls and floor as there is an issue with the air conditioning. The unit appears to be leaking and there is an intermittent drip sound. There is no closet, dresser or luggage rack in the front bedroom. The middle room, while it has a closet with shelves, it will not open so is not usable. The air conditioning in the bedroom next to that one is not working so it gets very hot. There is a broken window pane leading to the back patio from the living room. The steps and railing leading to the backyard and the spiral staircase going to the upstairs deck are dangerous.

Had an absolutely lovely stay. The house is peaceful and comfortable. We felt right at home with all the included amenities. There is plenty to do in either Jaco (or just south) and Quepos. We preferred the more isolated location of Bryan’s house, and the (essentially) private beach was the perfect setting for my fiancé to propose by sunset. Don’t miss the chance to get some fresh shrimp at the farm about a kilometer before the beach. (It’s on the left hand side of the road. Giant blue gate/sign.) enjoy some fishing along the river side portion of the road too. There are plenty of public places near the southern end of the road. Pack sunscreen and bug spray. They are very expensive locally!
