We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Linda and Alex. Together with our three semi-grown daughters we had the nicest holiday we'd had in years. We made many happy memories watching the sunset from the terrace, eating lunch in pretty garden and visiting the lovely villages and countryside nearby. The house is truly lovely - even nicer then the photos, charming, tasteful and immaculately presented. Linda and Alex provided loads of nice touches, such as baking a homemade cake for our arrival,. They were extremely warm, friendly and relaxed, and very happy to give local tips or answer my (many!) questions about the house and area. We shared the main garden and pool area with a family in the neighboring gite, but the houses and grounds are large and there is range of different spaces to relax in so always felt we had out privacy. We wouldn't hesitate to plan a return trip or recommend this to other families wanting a deeply blissful French countryside stay with lovely hosts!

We had a wonderful couple of weeks at Linda and Alex's place. The house is beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was exceptionally well appointed - even the knives were sharp! And they really went above and beyond with a delicious homemade cake to mark a birthday we were celebrating. They even bought a swing early in our stay to keep our little ones entertained. It's really well equipped for children - travel cots, highchairs, plastic plates and cutlery, toys and kids DVDs. We had mixed weather - quite a bit of rain and a 40+ degree heatwave but found lots to keep us entertained and the pool was great. Highly recommend Lac Jemaye Regional Park and Aubeterre sur Dronne. A lovely well equipped cottage with a great swimming pool, lovely views, outdoor games room for the family and fantastic hosts. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the setting delightful! A great place to spend some time relaxing!

A real gem! We loved the house which has everything you have at home (and more). The beds were wonderful, we slept so well. The house was cool inside. The outside is just as wonderful. Our kids loved the pool and the games barn. We all loved sitting on the terrace and looking out over the wonderful view. There is plenty to do in the area and supermarkets are close. We roadbiked nice routes right from the house and did a canoe trip from Riberac. The setup is great for staying with family. Linda and Alex were very nice and welcoming and even gave us a wonderful welcome package.
