Luxurious one bedroom apartment perched above the Pawcatuck River and a stone’s throw from the Margin Street Inn. Enjoy the rooftop deck overlooking the Marina and river —a great spot to sip coffee, quaff mocktails, watch the sun set. Explore the area’s fine dining, culture, and sandy beaches. This is a well-appointed home with great attention to detail to help ensure a pleasant stay. Mariners Loft is the entire top (third) floor of a Victorian home which has been tastefully divided into three separate condos. It has been recently renovated to provide a top-shelf guest experience. One important item to note: This is the third floor unit. GUESTS NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH STAIRS. The back entrance requires navigation of three sets of stairs, front entrance two sets. Tricky location for infirm, infant, or elderly persons. Television - there is NO television in the space.

This was the perfect getaway for our weekend celebrating our anniversary. The apartment was exactly as pictured and very well-kept, though it did feel much bigger in person. It was decorated beautifully and had a great view of the marina as well. It was private and quiet, which is exactly what we hoped for. It was the perfect place to come back to after a day exploring Westerly and a night at the casino for a concert. We would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a special or romantic getaway to celebrate an anniversary, or just looking for some time away to recharge in a great location. We're hoping to find another weekend to get away soon so we can come back and sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee or glass of wine in less rainy weather!
Amazing space!!! Only glitch, and not their fault, hard to find using airbnb app. Put address in maps and no problem. This is the type of space I could stay in for a long time! They definitely took a lot of care in renovating space, from paint to lighting to decor, it really was stunning! I love that they kept the old hinges on the interior doors, they are works of art!! Location is great! It is a short drive or bike ride to Watch Hill. One day we put our SUPs in at Watch Hill and paddled to take out across the street from the house! Westerly is a cool little town with a great theater, bars and restaurants. I really appreciated when Ilsa reached out and offered to change our dates due to an impending hurricane. The weather app we use and trust showed a grey day, so we went ahead, but that type of care for your guests’ enjoyment speaks volumes about you as hosts! Thank you! P.S. This is the longest review I have ever written and for good reason!!
This is a beautiful spot, just across from the Pawcatuck River and a 15 minute or so walk from downtown. The apartment was clean and well-appointed. The deck was a wonderful place to kick up our legs at the end of the day! I usually stay with my mom when I come to town, but I would definitely stay here again!
This Airbnb was absolutely beautiful! The nautical theme throughout the home made for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for late nights, and being within a short driving distance of the beach was ideal during the day. Joseph and Ilsa were also very communicative about expectations to ensure we had a positive experience. Would definitely come back in the future!
Highly Recommended! The accommodation was not only clean and well-maintained but also beautifully decorated. It had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and peaceful ambiance. Truly surpassed expectations for our mother-daughter getaway.

THE AREA
Mariners Loft sits about 200 feet back from the Pawcatuck River above the Westerly Marina on a dead end street on a hill of mostly Victorian homes. It’s a quiet and serene neighborhood. There are a number of coffee shops (Stick and Fin, Junk and Java) and dining establishments (B&B Dockside, Amanda’s Pantry, Beach Street Cafe, Cinder) within walking distance.
Downtown is less than a mile and offers a panoply of fine dining, live music, theatre, and more —-gourmet donuts at Knead, the shark museum, Wilcox Park, and the lovely library.
Dreamy Watch Hill is five miles away and is a must visit in the summer season. Napatree and East Beach are beautiful year round.
There are beach options galore - In addition to Watch Hill, you’ve got the State beach in Misquamicut and Dunes Park Beach at the Weekapaug Breachway. We provide towels, beach chairs and umbrella. The beaches are incredible 365 days of the year.
Summer is high season in Westerly. Things get a little sleepier between Columbus Day and Memorial Day. Watch Hill is a ghost town, some restaurants reduce hours so check in advance of arrival.
Winter is wonderful for birding! Brush up on your diving ducks and use our binoculars.

Mystic - Village, Aquarium, museums- 15 minute drive.
Stonington - shopping and restaurants. Check out Velvet Mill! 13 min drive
Foxwoods - the largest casino resort in New England 19 min
Newport and Providence - 45 min

It is possible to function without a car if you’re looking to relax. There is a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance and Amtrak station is downtown. A car will make exploring farther afield possible. Westerly is a good town for biking. Uber is in Westerly, but can be hit or miss depending on time of day.
