The most important thing for me is a quiet place, and Gus's place certainly is that. It's a well-appointed private apartment behind his house. Downstairs is a bathroom, kitchen and dining room, while upstairs is a large open area with a lounge, 1 double, 2 singles and a mattress. This area was bright and warm. The kitchen has everything you need to self-cater, with a large fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There's also a washing machine. The neighbourhood is flat and walkable, about 15 mins walk from Newport train station ($5.30 into Flinders St Station). $40 Uber into the city or $30 into Port Melbourne. Would I change anything: I would have liked a desk upstairs, near a power point, for my laptop; I ended up working off the coffee table. But that's a minor consideration. This place would be the top option for accommodation if I come back to the same area of Melbourne.

Thanks so much to Gus for providing a welcoming and family friendly place for us to stay over the Easter long weekend. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The extra touches with milk and bread provided was a very much appreciated after a long road trip. Would recommend.

The house is cozy and fully equipped. Gus is a great host and he even made us find fresh bread at our arrival and all sort of things you need for your stay. The location is in the middle of Williamstown in a very quiet neighbourhood. Lovely stay
