Amazing place. Great for one or 2 people. Yes it’s a basement apartment so there is a little bit of overhead sound but not much. Amazing location aswell. Right outside of town and 2 min drive to Walmart to get essentials.

This was my second time staying at George’s place. George is one of the nicest hosts I’ve stayed with—very friendly and communicative. When I first arrived there was a lot of snow and ice in the ground and I was worried about getting up the steep driveway, but George kept it cleared and salted well—it was never a problem. The apartment was clean and well furnished as before, and I had no issues with any of the amenities. I will mention that there is a fair amount of overhead noise, from walking and pets, so if you plan to spend a lot of time in the apartment, take that into consideration.

This is a great place to stay in the Blairsville area. George’s basement apartment is clean, spacious, and well-equipped. I was pleasantly surprised at the value. The location is fantastic, minutes from Walmart and several restaurants, and the neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant. George is a friendly and responsive host, easy to contact and talk to with any questions. A few downsides I will mention is that ceilings are low—if you’re over 6’ tall you may bump your head going into the kitchen area, and, as with any basement apartment especially in an older house, overhead noise can be a little disturbing at night. Altogether, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this one again!
