My wife and I had a fantastic weekend staying at Rowe House. The property was spotless and had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend booking their breakfast - it was fabulous. Jane and Robert were fantastic hosts and we would definitely stay again if/when we visit the area.
Property is as described, great location for doing the 3 peaks. Huge outdoor space. Very accommodating for dogs. Only down side was the uncomfortable amount of spiders, old cob webs, bugs and wood lice in the property.
We had such a lovely time in the Shippon. It’s a really beautiful building in some beautiful surroundings. Jane and Robert were great hosts, really easy to communicate with and very helpful at all times when we were there. The place itself is in such a great location. Perfect for exploring the surrounding area. We were there to complete the 3 peaks. You can see Pen-y-ghent from the window which helps build the excitement! Jane and Robert made us a lovely breakfast the morning after which really helped ease our aching pains! The space is really cosy and the beds very comfy. It is well kitted out for cooking your own meals but also conveniently located near the two pubs in the village. Check in and check out was really easy and personable. We had such a great time and would recommend to anyone who wants to visit the area. We already want to return and explore other parts. Thank you Jane and Robert for such a great experience.
A little Jem in such an idyllic location, the hosts are very friendly and full of great advice. The location is very private and very quiet. We used it as a base for the Yorkshire 3 peaks walk, it is literally 100 yards from the train station. We used both the bedroom and the pull out bed for our stay which were both comfortable. We also used the option of breakfast on the Sunday which came at a slightly additional cost but was very nice and worth it. Thanks for letting us stay this weekend we enjoyed it very much.
An amazing find! Jane was so helpful before the stay: in the middle of a nationwide snowstorm she kept me updated on the road situation and was really flexible about our arrival. It was easy to find and park, with a quick and efficient check in. Warm, cosy and clean, they had clearly made some excellent renovations that were practical and attractive. We did the three peaks hike the next day, and this was in the most perfect position to start and end the route: highly recommended!
