We loved the house. You feel like at home straight away. Kristin is very responsive and always helpful. Very well equipped kitchen. Views are spectacular and best appreciated from the geothermal hot tub which is one of the highlights. Loads of skitouring options in the neighbourhood (you can ski from the house if you wish). The master bedroom is massive as is the upper bathroom. Other rooms and downstairs bathroom are on the smaller side but comfortable enough. Very comfy mattresses and the bedding with pleasant feel. Great shower downstairs powered by geothermal water. Communal space downstairs is fantastic. I can't think of any downsides really. The flies at this time of the year were annoying at times what I guess can be expected in the country house but with the proper deterrent they were manageable. We will come back!
We stayed in this very nice, cosy and well equipped holiday house in early April 2024, with the aim of making skitouring trips in the surrounding mountains. We had good contacts with Kristin (through the Airbnb portal)? She always gave us additional information if needed in a timely manner. The house has an astonishing view over the valley (provided the visibility is good, but that's beyond Kristins responsibility :-)) All in all: a recommendation! Koen & Co
We had the most wonderful stay at Kristín’s house. The check-in was very smooth, Kristín was very flexible, proactive in communication and responsive. The house and the location is wonderful! We loved everything about the house, the surroundings and this area. We highly recommend this accomodation and Kristín as a host. This is definitely a place to visit again!
Fantastisch mooi verblijf, geschikt voor 6 personen en van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaresse is zeer vriendelijk en geeft leuke tips voor de omgeving. Erg leuke dagen gehad!
We had an amazing time at this house and were able to feel right at home! The house provides everything (literally!) you might need during a stay, is beyond beautifully designed and so so cozy! The house was a great base for excursions through the north of iceland and offered lots of possibilities to relax after a long day. The personal highlight we're the northern lights, which we were able to enjoy from the great hot tub in the garden. Kristin was a great host, always proactive, helpful and had a lot of great advice on activities in the area. In case we are coming back to this area, we'll for sure try to stay here again!
