Lea's Place was amazing. The mountain views were gorgeous. When we got there, it was during a snow storm so our car got stuck- Lea was very responsive, and had some people come to help us get to the place . Would recommened Lea's place to anyone looking to enjoy the amazing views and ultimate privacy.

Gorgeous place, wish we had booked longer here in this location. We had clear skies the first night, great for stargazing and viewing the Northern Lights, could see them from the hot tub. Hot tub was a perfect temperature and good size. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable. Would definitely come back.

We had a lovely stay over NYE for 3 nights (5 stars from us!). The property was easy to find, it was clean, and we enjoyed having a well equipped kitchen (stainless steel cookware, etc.), heavy cozy duvet blankets, warm heated floors, large couch for lounging, and the beautiful mountains around. We brought some twinkle string lights to hang around the hot tub which made it even more magical. ♥️ We hope to come back again, as we lost a day of adventuring due to being snowed in from high winds blowing heavy snow across the drive (which may have been a rare occurrence). It took us 3 hours with two shovels to get the car out and staged further down the road and the snow all blew back the next day. Doh! Traveling is always an adventure. ☺️ P.s. Future travelers may wish to know that the road to the cottage isn’t regularly maintained in the winter. It took us almost an hour to go 7-8 kilometers (with studded tires) to town from the cottage due to straight ice the entire way.

My family and I had a great experience staying at Lea’s place. Lea was super helpful and easy to communicate with. The location was beautiful and the place was clean and tidy.

OOOOOOH my god this place is gorgeous. We are on a road trip for our honeymoon and this is one of the coolest places we've ever stayed. the cottage is great. The glassed in kitchen and hot tub room has spectacular views. It had everything we needed and the hot tub was absolutely incredible. It's pretty remote and about an hour from Akureyri, and driving there can be difficult in winter conditions (the driveway and road to the cottage was basically entirely ice). The only very slight downside was the bed. It was super soft and there's a loft above it, so we had to be careful to duck to get in bed (my husband is 6'2"). I was this cottage was closer to home for us because we'd stay there every few months if we could. So memorable and would highly recommend it if you want a super remote getaway.
