Welcome to your garden oasis. Your home away from home. This elegantly styled garden level apartment in South Portland's crown jewel neighborhood, Sylvan Sites, is spacious, calm, and inviting. Have a sit in your private sauna, and take in the abundant birdsong of the neighborhood from your private back patio while you sip your morning coffee. Just down the road (5 minutes) to downtown Portland, Willard Beach, or Knightville, and 10-15 minutes to Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth beaches. Sopo Abode is a large garden-level apartment featuring bright, chic, and comfortable spaces. The bedroom features a gorgeous queen bed and sliding glass doors leading onto a small porch looking out over the back yard. Stone walls and clerestory windows add interest and light. The living room has a pull-out couch for guests 3 and 4, a gas fireplace, and a tv with Netflix and Amazon Prime. The lovely brand new kitchen includes a cook-top, cooking pots/pans & utensils, a refrigerator (no freezer), and a microwave. Don't worry about bringing any kitchen tools, we should have you covered. Includes your own private sauna(!) and sophisticated bathroom. This is the private, garden-level apartment of a 4-story house; the hosts occupy the other levels. Guests have their own access, separate from owners’ apartments.

We loved our stay and couldn’t have been more pleased with every detail that was thought of to make us feel comfortable! It was still quite chilly in the mornings and evenings so having the sauna and fireplace were just lovely. Ryan was an amazing communicator and checked in for any need we might have. We really liked the list of suggestions provided to make decision making even better. The location was close to everything.
Ryan is a wonderful host and this space was so cozy and fun! 10-20 minutes from everything we hoped to do in Portland, parking was easy, and Ryan’s helpful instructions throughout the space made our whole stay very straightforward and enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the sauna and really appreciated the tea/sugar available and the thoughtful addition of some delicious blueberry jam left for us. We would make a point to stay here again if ever back in the area!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We really enjoyed our stay here. It was beautiful and unique with lots of things to do around the area! My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Will for sure be back! :)
It was a beautiful place to stay for our honeymoon, great location and felt like home. Enjoyed the big shower and the sauna.
Friendly, quiet, town. Local to bars, restaurants and grocery store. Close driving proximity to downtown. It is in lower level, so some noise for light sleepers but no bother. Their dog Walnut is so cute! Very comfortable stay, felt right at home. Enjoyed the fireplace and the sauna. Nice and cozy, beautiful job decorating interior.

Sylvan Sites is an eclectic neighborhood featuring Tudor, Spanish, Craftsman and Arts & Crafts homes, all surrounded by trees, gardens, and nearby parks.
Just down the street you'll find walking trails in protected woods or a forever farm, a coffee and sandwich shop, and a little further away by foot or bike you'll find Willard Beach or the shops and restaurants of Knightville. 5 minutes by car and you'll be in downtown Portland / the Old Port.
