Jeanine and her husband were very welcoming and friendly. They have a wonderful, animal filled home with lots of love to go around. If you love animals, this is a great spot for you. You'll meet their three dogs, horses, all their chickens, their parrot (so beautiful!) and their cat. they make the best breakfast in the morning, many ingredients from their own farm. They gave us great recommendations of things to do and see! A couple things to be aware of: 1. The room is small and is closed off by two French doors that are covered by pretty thin curtains. It sits right off their living room and next to the parrots cage. If you are looking for quiet space, it's probably not the best. I also recommend ear plugs at night as it is a farmhouse and there will be noise! 2. The hot tub is seasonal, so if you are really wanting that, I'd check with them that it's running before you come. Otherwise, we truly enjoyed our stay and the hospitality given to us. They both gave huge hearts for rescuing animals and we left inspired by what they do.

What a wonderful stay, Very accommodating, I arrived earlier in the day, to see where the house was, and arrived back late. They were very kind about that, the breakfast the next morning was out of this world, I would definitely return.

It is not possible to find a more beautiful surrounding to stay with trees, a lovely walking trail, a nice stream to canooe in, and the cutest farm house. We stayed for one night in JJ and Derricks house, and were welcomed with open arms by the entire household of 3 dogs, 3 cats, 4 horses and a parrot. If you like the close proximity of living countrystyle with animals, this is a good choice. Our hosts were very friendly and made sure to make our stay comfortable by going out at night to give us privacy, and pre-making snacks for our roadtrip. The small room was as described in pictures and was situated next to kitchen and livingroom downstairs. Bringing earplugs is a good idea if you are a light sleeper, since the dogs watch out for the house.

Jeannine was a great hostess. Her home was comfortable and our room and bathroom was clean and cozy. We saw deer before crossing the bridge and heard coyote's howling at night. There is a quiet sense of being in nature on this rescue farm. It's hard to believe we weren't farther out from the city than we were. Jeannine created a wonderful fresh breakfast for us which included fresh hot biscuits, just laid eggs, vegetables and homemade jam! It was a wonderful way to start our day. There was a local paper highlighting the events we were in town for, and anything we had questions about she was happy to answer.

We had a wonderful stay with Jeanine and her husband! They made us feel very welcome right away, and took time to introduce us and our baby to all of their delightful rescue animals. Our daughter was thrilled. Jeanine made us a delicious breakfast in the morning, and was knowledgeable about the area and quite helpful. We would definitely recommend this location as a fun, relaxed, back-to-nature sort of retreat, with fascinating, helpful, and kind hosts.
