This 4 bedroom, oceanfront beach house is part of the Paradise Regained properties and has amazing 180 degree views of the Caribbean ocean. You have direct access to the Caribbean ocean and Utila's best reefs, excellent snorkeling, and a fresh, saltwater swimming pool. Our beach gazebo with hammocks and Adirondack rocking chairs is the perfect place to watch for dolphins, have your morning coffee, and read a book. Sleeps 8, but you can add 2 in bunk cots in the main area. Just select9 or 10. This beachfront home among the palms enjoys an unparalleled location of a quiet, secluded neighborhood, yet minutes from all the restaurants, bars, and attractions in town. Two bedrooms are connected by ensuite bathrooms, and one bedroom has it's own private bathroom. The house has a well-equipped kitchen, dining and seating area with a large wrap-around deck that looks out over the clear, blue water reef and beautiful Caribbean ocean. Paradise regained property is in the perfect location to enjoy utila's amazing sunrise and sunset . Sleeps 6, but you can add 2 more guests in bunk cots in the main area. Just select 7 or 8 for the correct amount of guests. Note: the main area does not have air conditioning but fresh breeze through windows and doors, or the bedroom doors can be opened to the main area to share the air conditioning.

beautiful views. ocean access is a bit tricky. be careful of electricity usage - if you run the AC you will be charged an exorbitant amount of money for power. $80 extra for 2 days of part-time AC usage seems ridiculous.
This stay is truly amazing- it is Paradise Regained. It’s very beautiful surroundings and the ocean access is gorgeous. It’s walkable to the dive shops. The pool was lovely and the space was clean- the beautiful view from the porch was a highlight. The beds were very comfortable and we were able to get hot water consistently, the air conditioning was fabulous. The only thing to be aware of is that this is not a private home- there are two units beneath this one, so the pergola by the water is shared and so is the pool. It wasn’t a big bother to us just something to note if you are looking for something more private. Beautiful space and Tamara was amazing!
Our favorite part of the stay was the water feature in front of the home. We saw eels and lots of little tropical fish. Water for showers was always hot, and the water pressure was great. It was quiet at night. Communication prior to our stay was always quick, and we appreciate the recommendations given for our stay. Overall though, we were disappointed, especially given the nightly price. The house is in desperate need of maintenance. The flooring is buckling. The walls all need fresh paint. The bathroom cabinet in one room is peeling really bad, and the baseboard is separating from the wall by the shower. Bathrooms smell like sewer. Bedding is old and has holes. The home had a grungy feel. I will say we did not communicate these issues mentioned here or the other small ones we encountered because with the exception of towels and bedding, nothing could be fixed. Cost to have laundry done on premise is $20. We would not return to this property.
We just had about the most perfect week at Paradise Regained. If what you’re after is a blissful stay, where you can snorkel and dive RIGHT in front of the property, on a reef teeming with life, then this is the place for you. Three comfy beds, all with access to a bathroom. Basic kitchen with everything you need (but frankly eating out in the restaurants around Utila is the way to go) and a deck that you’ll never want to leave. Although I did leave it to float in the pool with a cocktail! Elliot was super helpful and a great guy, always answered questions and gave good advice about the island. Love love love Utila, and Paradise Regained. Thank you Tamara!

Utila, a small Caribbean island of just 17 square miles, is surrounded by shallow reefs, with several beaches featuring golden sands, and clear blue waters. While the island is better known as a holiday destination for scuba divers, its appeal is well suited to those beyond the stereotypical visitor, with a simple and rustic lifestyle that’s both inviting and charming. This is true tropical island living without the pretentiousness you find on some other Caribbean islands.
Take a fast, air-conditioned ferry or light aircraft from Roatan or La Ceiba and in less than an hour, you will be immersed in a culture reminiscent of days of old. Cheap drinks are plentiful, as are the islands' eccentrics. Imagine something out of the Pirates of the Caribbean with tuk-tuks (small Indian taxis), and you won’t be far off.
Prepare to be charmed by this unique little island, pack a bag of adventurous spirit, your mask and snorkel and a desire to experience true island life, Utila style!
Paradise Regained is perfectly positioned on the coast, only 120 feet from some of the best dive/snorkeling sites on Utila’s south side.
The sights and sounds of Utila town are within a 5 minute drive or a leisurely 10 minute walk from your quiet Caribbean retreat. If you prefer to rent a quad or scooter, we can help with those arrangements.

Hi! I'm Tamara Scott. My husband Mark and I have retired and are living in Utila, Islas de la Bahía, Honduras. We have an amazing daughter who lives in Germany and visits us as often as time will allow. We enjoy connecting with people, and being a source of positivity in their lives. We love hosting, and our goal is to make your trip as phenomenal as it can be. I love photography and can often be spotted with several cameras in tow, taking photos of local events. Driftwood projects are Mark’s hobby. He can usually be found dragging home his latest “great find” from the sandy shores of nearby beaches. We have co-property managers who live on-premise, Ana & Jakob. Ana is from Tegucigalpa and Jakob is from Canada (eh?). Both are amazing in helping with the management of Paradise Regained. They will be on-site throughout your stay to help you with your day-to-day needs.
