Welcome to Charlo! My husband Bernie and I purchased this decommissioned United Methodist Church in 2019 as a place to call home for my mom and guests visiting the area. Slowly, while raising two teenagers and working full time (I was a teacher, he drives truck), we have remodeled, repaired and renovated to create these unique spaces in what was the sanctuary. Original hardwood floors, woodwork and stained glass have been paired with all new electrical, plumbing, and modern fixtures. The upstairs of the church (which was the sanctuary) has been divided into three spaces- an apartment on the west side of the building, my mom’s apartment on the east/north side and the guest suite in the south east corner. In the Guest Suite you will find a comfortable queen bed, a TV with Roku streaming and local channels, a mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, a table and two chairs. We have a Keurig, some basic dishes for your convenience, along with a variety of k-cups and a few snacks.

What an incredbiel experience! The remodeled/updated church was such a fun place to stay! Upon entering, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming foyer with access to the rooms. We felt safe and tucked in in our private room. The bathroom and shower were super clean and updated. The room is really only comfortable for two (although a couple with a baby would probably fit!). Sharon had coffee and coffee fixings available for us to use. The room was beautiful and had an "old timey" feel, even though everything in it was very modern and convenient. The price was unbeatable and we would absolutely stay again next time we're visiting the area. Thanks Sharon!

Sharon communicated with us prior to getting to her place. Once we arrived and checked in we were looking for a place for supper, she gave us a couple of suggestions in the area. We went to Ninepipes even though they were swamped we had great service and a good meal. When we were leaving for the wedding we were attending her and her husband met us and gave us very good directions to the wedding.

We had a wonderful stay! Great space, very clean, walking distance to a grocery store. Host was very responsive, helpful information about the area and beyond! Would recommend this host & air bnb to family & friends.

Charlo is a small community off the main Hwy 93 corridor, nestled between Ronan and the Bison Range. We are just 50 miles north from the Missoula airport and 70 miles south of Kalispell airport. Our town boasts a grocery store, gas station, bar, a k-12 school and easy access to Glacier National Park, hot springs, museums and Flathead Lake! Although off the main highway, it is an easy 30 minute drive from Polson, 45 minutes from I-90 (Missoula and St. Regis) and a great place to stay between Yellowstone and Glacier. We are only a short drive (or walk) from the Ninepipe Wildlife Refuge where bird watching is abundant. Permits are required, but Charlo serves as a great location for anglers and bird hunters alike.

There is very limited access to some public transportation so a vehicle is crucial. Cars can be rented in both Missoula and Kalispell at the airports.
