House was very dirty. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty table. Dust dirt and hair on surfaces. Food left in freezer. Garden lawn not cut and lots of thistles. I re looked at reviews and saw a review for a couple of weeks before we visited saying the same as above. This review wasn’t there when I booked. Obviously host not taken any notice. Considering £90 cleaning fee this was not acceptable. I messaged host upon arrival to advise her. She said she would take it up with cleaners. No apology given to us. Air B n B had to be involved to sort the matter. On a good note. It’s perfect location to visit the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies. Host was great communicator and key instructions were very clear. If she sorts out the cleaning it will be a great place to stay.

Great location and communication from Akshita There was an issue on our check in date as the previous guest hadn’t left the keys meaning we couldn’t check in. Akshita offered an alternative flat in central Falkirk for our first night which was appreciated but it did cause us some hassle with ferrying two dogs back and forth along with our luggage. The house itself is a good size, we found the bedrooms and main bathroom really lovely. The listing stated it had a private back garden which is fully fenced however there is actually an access gate that leads into next door’s garden for them to take their bins out the front through the main gate. The access gate was broken off during our stay. The kitchen table, fridge and some of the dinnerware weren’t cleaned properly so we had to clean these ourselves on arrival. There was also food left in the freezer when we arrived. Overall we enjoyed our stay
