This peaceful home is surrounded by gardens and pine trees, with an access trail off the back yard to hiking trails, a dog park, and frisbee golf courses. It is walking distance from downtown restaurants and a grocery store. The walk is down and back up a decent size hill. The kitchen is big, stocked with everything needed to cook and all the dishes you will need to serve dinner for a large group. The floor plan is open with nice lighting and lots of light, there’s plenty of space to gather. The three big bedrooms have king sized beds of different firmnesses. We use cotton, hemp, or linen bedding and have plenty of pillows. In the colorful room in the back you can find a spare twin mattress with sheets in the closet for extra sleeping space. You can move the mattress to wherever you feel comfortable and leave it when you go. The back room has a queen sized bed and cushy full size day bed. The day bed is covered in pillows and blankets for a cozy reading space. The entire room is filled with big windows. There is also a washer and dryer in the room and a large 4k tv. There are many shared and private spaces to work around the house. Two of the bedrooms have desks or tables that can be used. Outside you will find two separate garden spaces with tables, umbrellas, and chairs where you can relax in relative quiet surroundings. There are two BBQ grills, one is gas and one charcoal. The house is up a set of stairs, the only way to walk in on the ground floor without stairs is to walk up a short, steep side driveway. It’s all about the details for us, if you explore the cabinets and drawers you will find all kinds of activities, ideas, art, or things to do.

It was extremely kind of Keisha to go to the trouble of finding a infant sleeper and a port a crib for my grandchildren. The house certainly well kept and clean too.
The host was responsive and helpful with recommendations. The instructions were clear as to what was needed to do on our part. Super clean and a home like feel. Peaceful and plenty of room for the five of us. Can’t thank our hosts enough.
We had a great stay. Really nice to be able to walk to town. Keisha is very communicative and put a bunch of toys out for our daughter which was really nice. Great BBQ set up. Would stay again.

We recently had a non profit board retreat at Keisha’s house. It is cozy and well laid out for a large group to be able to hang out. Close to town and very quiet. There is an additional rental below the main large unit which is only a mention as this is a place where many people can be at once. We enjoyed all the kitchen amenities for cooking for a large group and the curated books she left out that aligned with our non profit…specifically soil. And may I add the plant collection is beautiful! Thank you Keisha for your patience with getting us settled in the first night.

The neighborhood is usually very quiet. We are just uphill from downtown Grass Valley where you can find plenty of good restaurants, bars, shopping, or shows. It’s a 10-15 min walk to town depending on your strolling speed. Behind the house you will find a gate that leads out to a huge park with walking trails, frisbee golf, basketball courts, and a great dog park.
There is access to one covered parking space by the house, but there is plenty of shaded parking on the street below our driveway. You will have to walk up a hill to get to the house if parking on the street. Please, do not block the pull through driveway. Downtown is a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Forested trails start at the back gate of the property, we have maps for your use. It is a 20 min drive to multiple locations on the Yuba river and 25-30 minutes to multiple lakes.
