Sehr schönes Häuschen in den Bergen. Top ausgerüstet. Cathy war eine sehr gute Gastgeberin. War immer erreichbar und sehr bemüht für unser Wohlbefinden. Sehr gute Pause und angenehmes Klima bei den Kaffeeplantagen und vielen Vögeln.
Wunderschöne Lage sehr ruhig . Viele sehenswürdikeiten leicht zu erreichen. Absolut sauber hat alles was man braucht schöne praktische küche. Die gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich gleich wie zuhause

Cathy is a welcoming, knowledgeable host. She offered Uber directions from the San Jose airport and was waiting for our arrival to help us with our bags and to get oriented. The Casita is brand new and has everything you need for a peaceful stay. The surroundings are stunning. so many beautiful birds! There is a reliable local bus to take you into town that comes every hour to a bus stop nearby.

El Cajon is a traditional country Tico town where families have been here for generations. we have an expat community as well (Grecia Expats on Face Book) It mainly is coffee farm area. It is extremely friendly. We have several small walking distance stores called Pulperias where you can find all kinds of local product for the household. It has bus, Uber and Taxi access to downtown which is 12 min drive or 25 min on bus. About 2 or 3 miles up you can get off and enjoy a full view of San Jose and surrounding major cities and the airport etc. On Christmas and New Years you can enjoy a gorgeous view of fireworks. For those of you interested there is a local beer brewing company which opens on Saturdays like 2 times a month for BBQ and music. You can buy local made food such as tamales, Tico tacos and other traditional Tico "fast food" on the weekends with delivery. We have several waterfalls can visit as well. Downtown is rather busy with all kinds of stores, restaurants, farmacies, medical clinics, local hospital, dept stores, banks and atm's. You can visit the beautiful red church Las Mercedes and other areas of interest.
We have bus service (5min walk) leaving and coming every 1hr (25 min ride) to downtown. You can call Uber or Taxi service $6 to $10 one way. There are Uber drivers who also will work as private drivers or small bus services. Parking available al thoughout downtown Grecia with an online parking meter service. Pay with a card.
