We had a lovely stay here. Such a peaceful and private outlook. The home itself was very clean and had everything we needed. So nice to stay in a shack with super comfortable beds! It was lovely to discover Coobowie and surrounding beaches.

The house has a lovely rustic midcentury charm and the little touches like pot plants make it feel really homely. It had everything we could need and it was great to have a clothes dryer and dishwasher. Coobowie was extremely peaceful and a great base for exploring the southern YP. Like other towns in the area it’s not a classic swimming beach but picturesque with the different colours of seaweed and interesting to poke around and explore. I think paddling at high tide would be nice (though too cool/windy to try when we visited). Mere metres to the beach through the back gate. My 4yo who has sensory sensitivities was troubled by the noise of the wind around the house in the evenings - not a problem with the house at all but just a word of warning for other special needs parents (the downstairs TV room was much quieter than upstairs and he was able to sleep there).

The shack was perfect for what we needed as a home base for our fishing trip. 2 min walk to the pub and only a short drive to 2 awesome jetty’s (Edithburgh and Wool Bay).
