Experience an unforgettable stay in our immaculatley presented flat situated on the beautiful and bustling Royal Mile, Edinburgh's cultural and historical heart. Wake up to the bells of the 11th century St. Giles' Cathedral and be inspired by views of the street's medieval architecture from your bedroom window. Our historic, Grade A listed property is situated on Edinburgh's atmospheric Royal Mile, in the centre of the capital's 'Old Town'. While parts of the building originate from the 16th century, a full renovation was carried out by Historic Scotland in the mid 1980's. The apartment itself was recently renovated and the high ceiling, beautiful wood flooring and panelled walls create a sophisticated feel. Despite the age of the flat, the double glazing and central heating throughout will ensure you stay warm in winter! In contrast to this, you will see examples of comtemporary art created by local Scottish artists as well as pieces from our time in Malawi.

Harris is a great host and the room is just as described. I was a bit concerned about possible noise at night coming from street and the cathedral bell, but the rooms have double window and absorbe street noise quite well. The bed is very comfortable so we had good night sleep. Thanks for your hospitility.
A stunning apartment in the heart of Edinburgh. Great location with all the restaurants, cafes, and beautiful parks in a short walking distance, a magical bedroom within a modern and elegant apartment, two very kind hosts who gave us great tips on what to see in Edinburgh and where to eat and enjoy some drinks. My husband and I had the most wonderful time and we would highly recommend Harris' place for a lovely trip to Edinburgh. Thank you =)
Harris was very friendly and accommodating. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, historic, and very central. The guest room was spacious and well thought out, and the bed was firm but very comfortable. The (double) windows face a very busy street with street sounds and music lasting throughout the day, but it didn't bother me (bagpipe sounds give a very Scottish feel!). It was quiet at night, though. The guest room and shared bathroom were clean, but the shared kitchen was quite messy. The availability of the espresso machine for my compulsory morning coffee was great, though. Overall, I am happy with the stay.

Edinburgh's vibrant Royal Mile is a stone's throw away from many of the city's most impressive sights such as Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Momument, the Palace of Holyrood House, the Scottish Parliament, the National Museum of Scotland and many more.
The street is lined with cafes and restaurants suited to a wide range of budgets and tastes, including Michelin star restaurant, Timberyard.
During the summer, the Royal Mile is home to the Edinburgh Festival, one of the world's largest cultural and art festivals. Talented artists, musicians, actors, comedians and other performers from all over the word take to the stage (or street) for 3 weeks during August.
If you wish for some peace and quiet, there are numerous parks close by such as Princes Street Gardens and Holyrood Park, an extensive area which includes Arthur's Seat, a 251 metre hill you can climb which provides inspiring panoramas of the city and beyond.
The flat is situated on the Royal Mile, a 5 minute walk from Waverley Train Station. Trams to the airport and bus stops are also located within a 5-10 minute walk from the property.
