Truly beautiful in every sense of the word. Photos do not do this place justice. The rooms themselves were spotless, clean and everything you need was there. Helena went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and settled in and made a huge effort with our children. She is what I would describe as a proper person, genuine, consistent and all round kind in every way. Thank you so much we will be back!

We stayed for more than a week at Casa da Flor, and it's a wonderful place. The 3 holiday homes are newly built and of the highest quality, the view on the river just below is amazing, the grassy bank along the river, the boating options, the barbecue pits, the swings and hammocks, the absolute peace and quiet of the location, all contributed to a great holiday stay. And then there's the amazing swimming pool, where our young daughter spent hours on end. We were without a car, but Helena picked us up at the bus station and took us shopping, and overall she proved a splendid host, extremely friendly and helpful. We took three walks from the location, one to a great local restaurant a few kilometres up the road, and we walked the 6km trail to Amarante (beautiful town!), and we walked the former railroad trail to the nearby train station of Livracao (from where we took the train up the Douro valley to Pinao and Pocinho. But it's a steep climb to exit the property (on foot)!

Very beautiful place. Nice and calm. Very nice and polite host. You feel welcome, fresh flowers in vases, lemons and port wine. I can warmly recommend this place.
