It was a lovely little home away from home

We really enjoyed much about the cabin. The views are incredible, from one side you look over all of the valley and the other you can actually see Charlotte on the horizon. Our kids loved exploring the property and s’mores by the fire at night. The family also really enjoyed being able to use the hot tub every day.

The cabin is nice with beautiful views. Cabin is small, but pretty nice. Great fireplace with very good draft. No small firewood so you will need to gather. Check in information not provided until the day of so lengthy information on multiple gates, and tricky roads was not useful (driving). Gate is broken so I had to climb to open it so we could leave. The drive up is pretty tricky 1st couple of times so beware. We heard loud, close gunshots 1st night causing us to huddle with out child in a bedroom. Later, we seemed to be blamed for them and were asked to keep quiet. (Huh?). Neighbor (very close) was running digging equipment (no big deal)… but we were told to keep noise down? Maybe we got loud playing twister? It was all very odd (the neighbor thing), and not comfortable. Went to use the fire pit and found a lot of broken glass all over, so that was out. We won’t be coming back…

We thoroughly enjoyed this house and the amenities, and would love to stay here again (not when there’s snow/ice on the ground!), but felt that the current pictures overstate the remoteness of the place (there’s another house quite close by and the valley below the fire pit contains the local town), and we would not feel comfortable navigating the driveway with tires that didn’t have good grip/traction. The space is plenty big for six adults and we loved that the hot tub was covered so we could enjoy it even when it was raining.
