The place is wonderful and there were a lot of things to do in it. The house is beautiful, spacious and complete as well as the hosts were very kind and accommodating. Ivan and his family had a great time and will definitely consider listing the place for future staycations.

The best way to describe Basile's place is - WOW! I've stayed in some amazing places before, but this is truly one of the best. We shared the home with my wife's family of 13 adults and several small children. It was roomy and comfortable for everyone. The onsite caretaker was extremely helpful with getting settled in and attending to our needs the whole time. I get annoyed when hosts charge a lot of money then cheap out on providing consumables. Basile on the other hand goes above and beyond with providing everything needed for an amazing weekend. Just show up with your food and drink and have a wonderful time. No need to pack charcoal or lug water bottles, etc. The downside to being in a beautiful, remote location is access to local shopping. I highly recommend buying all your food in Davao City before going to Samal. Once you're at Basile's there are a few small shops and a wet market, but your options are very limited.

The photos do not do this place justice! Our family of 15 stayed here (last minute) for 2 nights. Host was excellent to deal with and gave us good directions and information about what to expect. We arrived to witness a stunning sunset overlooking Talikud island from the spacious deck. The house was accessible for older guests who stayed on the ground floor br. Clean, well equipped, nicely decorated and comfortable. Thoughtful touches like gas, charcoal for bbq and mineral water. The on-site caretaker was very friendly and on hand if we had any questions. He looked after us even down at the resort and helped set up the karaoke which we hired. We made good memories here and even though there was heavy rain and a brown out the generator kicked in. However, hot water wasn’t always available but that was ok. Sink draining sometimes slow. No AC in the main house lounge room and kitchen but adequately cooled by fans. We look forward to staying in Villa Vista once more! Thank you!

Lovely place! Good one for big families. Big enough to have a private space for everyone in the family. Walking distance to the beach. We also had a good run around the property in the morning. :)

Our family of 17 stayed at this Villa for 3 days and 2 nights. Everything was good, but the best was the large deck, where there were tables, sofas, and counters, and the view from there was wonderful, with a panorama of greenery and the ocean. We spent a lot of time here, including meals. The Villa is built on a cliff and has nice playful amenities such as hammocks for enjoying the view, a viewing platform, and an outdoor bath. The main facilities include air conditioning (in each bedroom), fans, WIFI, TV, refrigerator, water server, barbecue facilities, and ping pong table to make your vacation comfortable. There is a beach with a pool near the villa, where you can also enjoy fishing and kayaking. If you are planning to stay here, I think it would be too much for a small group or a short stay. 10-20 people for 2 nights or more would be more cost-effective than the hotels in the surrounding area. Our family had a wonderful vacation and we are very satisfied. Thank you.
