Sweet Escape was the longest stay we have ever had in an Airbnb. We chose this stay due to the magnificent reviews already in place. We changed our holidays due to the issues in the Middle East and had 11 nights free. We’ve always wanted to stay in a location where we could just take in the beauty of the area. Wow, did we choose well. Lake Como is spectacular but Varenna is the perfect spot on the lake. The views from Sweet Escape are breathtaking. Waking up each day to the view. What can you say. Our hosts Innocenta and Fabio are just the most beautiful people. We had fun communicating via google translate. No issues there. The accommodation is first class. Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows ever. You’ll love your stay at Sweet Escape. I won’t detail everything. You’ll have to experience that yourself. Enjoy.

They were amazing! From the start, they were responsive. Ice, waited with an umbrella in the rain to walk us to our place. The house was beautiful and private. Fabio and Ice invited my girlfriend and I for amazing dessert, dinner, and wine one evening. They offered plenty of activity suggestions. The house is a very convenient walk to the ferry docks, restaurants, and stores. The home was clean and spacious. Easily the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. And to finish the trip, Fabio woke up to take us to the train station at 5 am so we could catch our flight. They are the kindest people I have encountered. We absolutely plan on returning. Thank you for the experience Ice and Fabio.

Varenna is a dream and only made better by staying at Fabio & Ice’s “Sweet Escape” The place offers plenty of space and the view has got to be one of the best you can get! There are many thoughtful touches, even groceries upon your arrival! My fiancé and I were very comfortable and slept even better than we do at home! Shower is amazing and we were able to do our laundry, which was great! We were close to everything. There is just nothing negative to say about this place, other than you might have a hard time beating it if you stay anywhere else during your travels. We have moved on to Venice and I am missing the Sweet Escape already 🤣😌 Fabio & Ice are so very kind, they even drove us to the train station since it was raining. One of our top stays, for sure!

This place was absolutely stunning. The pictures do not even do the view justice. The location was perfect, in a beautiful part of Lake Como (personally I think the nicest city on the lake), and walking distance to tons of nearby attractions, restaurants and other scenic areas. Ice and Fabio were incredible hosts who were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I could not have had a better experience!!

Place was fantastic. Close to the ferry station, but in a private quiet place. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. The place had everything you will need. Highly recommend
