Brightside is a large family villa with space, privacy, sea views, a private pool and fun facilities nearby. Guests are allowed access to the Verandah Hotel and Resort to enjoy their restaurants and bars at a discounted rate. A discounted day pass is also available for use of the beaches and pools there including water sports, crazy golf, tennis and a gym. One of the most beautiful beaches on Antigua at Long Bay is within 7 minutes walk, with calm seas for even the youngest of children to enjoy. The inside and outside living areas are all open plan giving space for all the guests. three of the four bedrooms are en suite with patio doors onto a veranda (both upstairs and downstairs) giving privacy if required. There is a large spacious garden and pool and a long deep veranda at the rear to sit and relax and for al fresco dining day or night.

This is a great house with lots of room and many thoughtful touches. The access to the hotel facilities was really good. We would recommend this house if looking for a wonderful private space with facilities on tap.
Long Bay Beach is fantastic and Michele and Ian are fabulous hosts. The house is perfect and the Verandah Estates community is kind and hospitable.
Just returned from a relaxing vacation week at spacious Brightside Villa. Three generations of our family made the most of the large house and pool. Every morning we would open the front and back sets of double doors to let the balmy trade winds cool the house . We enjoyed cooking together in the large well equipped kitchen and dining together around the large table on the back veranda. Walked to nearby Long Bay Beach to swim and snorkel. Took a long walk to enjoy the water spouts and coastal views at Devil's Bridge. Drove to the southern part of Antigua to tour Nelson's Dockyard and swim at Half Moon Bay. Ian and Michele contacted us ahead of time with helpful instructions and dining suggestions as well as local contact numbers should we need anything. We miss Antigua already.
Ian and Michele’s villa is a gorgeous, tranquil and calming space. It is more like a home than a holiday villa, so you have all the home comforts such as Sky TV, dvds, and a full kitchen. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, so the villa very comfortably housed our 2 families (3 adults, 3 teenagers). This villa has the best of both worlds as you have a lovely private space with your own pool, but also the full use of the nearby resort. The facilities at the Verandah resort, which is a few minutes walk away, are amazing. We made full use of the water sports such as sailing, kayaking, & paddle boarding. Our teenagers particularly enjoyed the sports such as beach volleyball, tennis & table tennis. My sister in law and I enjoyed the morning stretch and yoga classes, and aqua aerobics. Michele was excellent on communication and was particularly helpful, kind and accommodating when our return flight was delayed by 9 hours. We made extensive use of a very friendly taxi driver recommended by Michele, and also the car hire which we booked at the resort hotel. I would recommend this villa to anyone thinking of visiting the Caribbean...you won’t be disappointed.

The villa is on Verandah Estates which is a residential neighbourhood not yet fully developed. It is located just 20 minutes from Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU), and situated on Antigua’s northeast coastline very close to Devil’s Bridge National Park with its dramatic landmark rock arch,. Brightside is an ideal vacation for family getaways, getaways with friends or romantic escapes. It is within walking distance (5 minutes) to the Verandah Hotel and Resort or Pineapple Beach Club resort (adults only) where amenities can be enjoyed on a discounted day pass access scheme including access to spa facilities. It is also within walking distance of one of Antigua's most beautiful beaches at Long Bay (7 minutes walk). There is also access to 4 restaurants at the Verandah Hotel and Resort (where guests are given a 25% discount) and a pasta restaurant and beach cafe on Long Bay serving food and drinks throughout the day.
Car rental or taxi hire is available from the Verandah Hotel and Resort and can be booked mostly on the day, or if choice is required then with 24 hours notice. Alternatively the owners can recommend a local car rental business which will bring the car to Brightside and collect it from the villa. We can recommend taxi pick up from the airport and for getting around the island too.

I jointly own Brightside Villa in Antigua with my wife Michele. We are both British and have brought up a family in the UK. I am an accountant and Michele is a lawyer. We first travelled to Antigua 10 years ago and fell in love with the island and the way of life. We built Brightside in 2010 and we have enjoyed many holidays there with our family and friends. We love the outdoors life walking, playing sport and socialising with friends. Antigua is our haven to relax, walk, exercise, enjoy the beautiful scenery in the hills and on the beaches and to dine on the delicious cuisine all over the island.
