Touching Algonquin Park near West Gate, 45 minutes to Huntsville, 25 minutes to Dwight, 50 minutes to Dorset. Wilderness Wild area, lots of wildlife, over 50,000 acres of Crown Land, private forest lane, many lakes and rivers, off grid, 7,500 watt whisper generator, incredibly peaceful. May be wild animals. Bring bug spray and wellingtons. Bring lifejackets. Must sort garbage/recyclables. Owners Lodge is near the Trapper's Cabin, owners are usually there to welcome you and provide any assistance you may need.

Must have vehicle, all wheel or four wheel drive preferred, hilly gravel road, some sharp turns, no trailers (call the Ranger if you have one). Permits for fishing and visiting Algonquin Park required, available at the West Gate at the Park. The Trapper's Cabin is a private, exclusive, wilderness area with a restored, bespoke 1930's cabin, decking, docks and outdoor screened in dining hall. Entirely private, no neighbours. No motor boats allowed. Stay on designated paths, dense forests. Swimming, canoeing, hiking at guest's own risk. Owners' Lodge is close by, within sight of the Trapper's Cabin.
