Des’s place is an absolute gem 💎 in the heart of Ramelton, above the amazing Blue Goat 💙🐐 artisan food store and cafe. The apartment is immaculately furnished, full of interesting books and art 🖼️, cosy, comfortable and modern, with every amenity you could wish for 🫶.. couldn’t recommend his place highly enough and Des is an absolute Gentleman. Really enjoyed the stay 😁& will definitely be back again! 🙏 If you want a perfect place to stay in the heart of Ramelton 🍀💚look no further 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely top-notch! As experienced travelers, we would rate Des’s accommodations as superior. Not only is the apartment beautifully and tastefully designed, it is a warm and welcoming home. Des is a true super host as well as a professional. Des also has an artisan food and gift shop below the the apartment. How pleased we were after a full days trip to Tory Island, to be able to purchased delicious food; lamb pie, fish cakes and gorgeous cheeses and wine. The coffee is fine as well. Des hospitality is a spectacular. We would clearly return to Gate House 1 when we are back again to explore the Wild West of Donegal. Ramelton is a great location to make a home base. Thank you Des for making our trip so memorable.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment. The location in the little town is fantastic and everything is walkable in the village. The co-hosts are super friendly and helpful with recommendations and, in general, just making you feel at home and welcomed. The apartment is above an artisan food store that has a wide selection of quality cheeses, breads, snacks and great coffee. Highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay. Great bed and shower as well, which is always a big bonus when staying at an airbnb. Des’s place is luxurious and a lovely place to chill out in that we had booked as a treat. There’s great space for cooking and dining and Des proved to be a fantastic host.
