This place is amazing and I plan on staying again in the future. We had a low key friend getaway, 7 people, to celebrate a friend’s wedding. There is a creek next door that you can hear from the house; it was beautiful!! The upstairs bedroom is HUGE and the others are decorated so cute. Just a heads up that you will need to remind your family and friends to shhhh if you are staying upstairs, because you can hear them in the living room below when you are trying to sleep! However, it’s like it’s own separate part of the house with it’s own living room area, study, and bathroom- so it feels like you are in your own little space. Britta and her husband are amazing hosts! They truly want you to have a great experience. This is the best air bnb I’ve stayed at.
Walt’s place was perfect! Exactly as described, very comfy (beds were memory foam!!), and beautiful surroundings. Very close to multiple walking trails, only 15 minutes from Great Barrington which has a cute little downtown, and super accessible from both Boston and NYC. It is a very special house and britta is a great host - responsive and friendly! Hope to return soon.
My friends and I loved Walt’s Place! Before and during our stay, Britta was very responsive to any message I sent. Our weekend plans to go to the spa fell through, and Britta provided a list of recommendations for us so we could still enjoy our weekend. The house was perfect- very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner at the home was provided. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We loved Walt’s Place- it was cozy and clean, and Britta was so easy to communicate with- responsive and helpful!!
Walts Place was the perfect setting to feel immediately at home and well taken care of for our entire family. Upon returning home from our trip we all felt like we got away for a week but it was just 2 nights. Definitely on our very short list of places we would love to return to. Hi, I am Britta and I live with my partner Luke and our beautiful Golden Retriever Walt in the Berkshires. We all enjoy nature, gardening, hiking, pond swimming (especially Walt), cooking, canning, and baking. We own two beautiful Air BnB’s named after Walt, own a flower business, and also manage a couple houses that belong to close friends. My main goal is for you to fall in love with the Berkshires and have a unique stay experience.
