If you're looking for a peaceful place to retreat in nature, this is it. We booked a diner and lunch on beforehand and had plans to eat out the other day, but the food was of such excellent taste and quality (their chef Nuno was a vegetarian restaurant owner who's expanded his trade to perma culture farming too), that we changed our plans and had all our meals at the cabin. We enjoyed our stay very much. The service and atmosphere were exceptional.

We had a such a lovely time. It's such a beautiful place. The lake is gorgeous for swimming and the hosts had paddle boards and a little rowing boat available for guests. We used them loads and it was great fun. The house is rustic but is super charming and the view from the large patio is wonderful. The star gazing at night is amazing, we saw several shooting stars. A lovely place we really hope to visit again.

Primero destacar la amabilidad y el cariño de Pedro y el sitio, que es espectacular. El acceso es complicado, media hora de camino de tierra para llegar a la casa donde pasaban continuamente otros huéspedes a zonas comunes. Realmente el sitio es fantástico, pero buscábamos estar solos y es lo que parecía en el anuncio, aunque no fue así.

I read reviews and the listing but it didn’t sink it- it’s 11 KM (7 miles) on a DIRT ROAD. So- come prepared. Only turn off the main road where it says GAMITAS. The dirt road is pretty smooth and fine, get groceries in advance, leave yourself plenty of time before dark, and drive carefully, don’t turn onto any of the rough patches where there’s a little sign 🪧 with red 🛑, check with Caroline if you are confused.. and ENJOY. Amazing people and place .. I will Be back!

rural house off the beaten path, in a location 2 min walk away from a huge lake. perfect if you enjoy swimming and want to get out of the city. Be warned however, it is VERY off the beaten path, I.e. driving 25 mins through dirt roads in the mountains, but the location was worth it. Hosts were friendly and super accommodating, we checked in pretty late but they greeted us regardless. Worth it if you are OK with the drive.
