Book for MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND and Wareham Oyster Festival! Gateway to Cape Cod Victorian - walk to Onset Beach. 1st fl bed & bath for those with stairs trouble. Open floor plan downstairs. There is a small beach 4 houses down. Close to kayak and boat rentals, Cape Cod Canal Cruises, and Water Wizz water park. Tons of ammenities: outdoor shower, coffee bar, Tempur-pedic mattress, beach cart, chairs, towels, cooler, wrap-around porch, patio, grill, full kitchen & laundry, smart TVs in all BRs. First Floor: There is one Queen bedroom and one bathroom on the first floor. This is ideal for anyone who has trouble with stairs. Just 3 steps going in/out of the house and newly added hand railing. The first floor also has a sofa that converts to a Queen-sized bed. Washer/Dryer in separate laundry room. Open floor plan kitchen to dining room to living room - perfect for family get togethers. Little nook in the laundry room for someone to use a laptop. Second Floor: The second floor has a primary bedroom with desk/work area and a 3rd bedroom. There is another bathroom on the second floor. Outside: Wrap around porch with cushioned wicker furniture, wrought iron patio with umbrella, propane grill, hot and cold outdoor shower, and a retreat area for anyone who needs a private space. Landscaped with pavers and crushed seashells. Two child sized Adirondack chairs.

This place is amazing. We felt at home and at ease here. Gorgeous home with fantastic walking views and scenery. The house was immaculate and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We will be making the Zandy Castle a staple in our Cape Cod vacations. Thank you so much Melissa for being an outstanding host and available for answering questions.
Melissa’s Zandy Castle is exactly as described and more - charming with comfy beds & very clean. Everything we needed & more was there. Onset is an iconic New England seaside village & a easy walk from the property. Melissa is a very responsive host, answering questions, and offering information about local events. I honestly cannot say enough good about our three day stay.
This space was absolutely amazing - in a quiet neighborhood so close to the beauty of the water. My family and I stayed and enjoyed the plentiful amenities in the space. The host put thoughtful details throughout the house to make our stay more comfortable. We stayed during a hurricane and the host was also quick to give us safety updates in case of any power failures - even though they hadn't and didn't occur this was helpful and reassuring. Endlessly thankful.
Melissa's place is an amazing getaway house. the house is super well maintained, has everything you need to enjoy your stay, and just an overall well designed home. it also has everything you need to go to the beach. Melissa is super responsive, is very accommodating with check in and check out. Highly recommend.
The victorian house was beautiful and clean. Melissa was responsive and helpful. The house was perfect for our family trip and they even had some board games for us to play on rainy days. Great location and neighborhood.

Charming coastal town with breathtaking water views. The water is still with no undertow, perfect for families. Cape Cod Canal Cruises at the pier. Independence Yacht club and kayak/boat rentals within walking distance. Walk to nearby Onset Village. Last town in Mass before crossing the bridge to Cape Cod which is why it is known as the Gateway to Cape Cod. Family owned restaurants. Mostly locals live on this street and are happy to help answer questions. Family and water activies via Onset Bay Association. I have a website for guests with tons of info about the area. During the summer Onset has outdoor music on Wednesday evenings (Summer of Love series) and various festivals throughout the year. There is a water view from the upstairs primary bedroom in winter but during the rest of the year a tree blocks it unfortunately.
You can truly walk to the beach and an all-terrain beach cart is provided. However, if you do drive, the parking is usually metered unless you have a handicap placard. Most everything in Onset is walking distance. A few restaurants near the main beach (Onset Beach) are cash only and have ATMs outside. Street parking during the summer is at a premium but there are 2 spaces in the driveway at the home (rare). If you expect visitors I have a traffic cone to hold a spot in front of the home (please don't hold more than 15 mins). But once a spot is secured they can park as long as they like.

My husband and I had a property mgmt. company which we no longer use to keep guest fees lower. So it looks like we have no reviews since the company had them, but they were 5-star. We travel ourselves and provide our guests the same amenities and service we would want for our family. Our Victorian house, the Zandy Castle, was built in 1880 but is completely renovated. We hope you have a delightful stay!
