A good place in Lake District, easy to find and can enjoy the view

Fantastic place really close to Ambleside centre but with fields behind the house! A lot of room for the cost and layout worked well for us. For prospective bookers worth being aware of two points that mean the property might not be suitable for eveyone: 1) the walk up from Ambleside is VERY steep (20% according to the roadsign) albeit relatively short. Might not be walkable for everyone. 2) the property's gate and parking is fairly tight and might not suit a large SUV or nervous parker, esp if other cars are there. There is no on-road parking / stopping available for unloading so you do need to get your car in to the property. When we arrived one of the neighbouring cottages had parked a car in our space and suggested we park down the hill and walk up!! - it wasn't immediately clear to us whether the parking was a free for all or whether it was our space so we didn't resolve that until the following morning (lesson learned - it was our space so tell the neighbour to move!!)
