What an incredible home! We absolutely loved our stay at Rosewood by the River. The setting on the river is even more beautiful than the pictures are able to capture and the house is immaculately decorated and clean. Super easy check in and check out. Very comfortable beds and linens, nice bathtub and rainfall showerheads. Incredible kitchen if you want to cook while you are here, but also a great cafe (Chesters by the River) a few minutes walk away (can especially recommend the coffee, scones, and "the works" hot chocolate). There is a beautiful trail up the river that leads to a local tarn where you can swim. We also had great meals at the Drunken Duck, which is less than 10 minutes drive, and at Doi Intanon (a Thai restaurant in Ambleside, which is just 10 minutes away).

This is a beautiful place to stay, right by the river. The pictures don’t really do it justice - it’s beautiful on the inside too. And it’s in a great location in the middle of some of the best parts of the Lake District.
