The hosts were very easy to communicate with and extremely friendly and helpful! The property was well maintained, comfortable and clean. They provided many daily basic items to make it comfortable to stay for two weeks.

Virgilia was a warm and gracious host, always swift to respond. The house is beautiful with excellent updates and more that met my expectations. It is spacious with thoughtful nice touches throughout. I especially loved the soaking tub. It was a delightful surprise to find an unlimited supply of spring drinking water waiting for us. The house has well water and being near the beach, it does have a natural coastal aroma. The road was not as bad as I expected after reading previous reviews, but we were fortunate to have beautiful, sunny weather during our stay. Just don't get in a hurry! We arrived at night and the neighborhood felt a little sketchy at first, but it turned out to be very quiet and the house and backyard offered plenty of privacy. The yellow Sunshine Retreat House is a winner!

This rental was exceptional and met or exceeded our expectations. The only concerns that we found were the road condition reaching the house and poor water pressure in the shower of the master bedroom. The road is completely dirt and filled with large holes and rough when coming from the west off the main road, the east has 2 blocks that are paved, but ends in dirt. The master bath has a fancy shower unit that has a total body shower unit, but the pressure is so low that it is almost unusable. The water pressure in the rest of the house is robust. The rest of the house is just like the pictures and the host has provided almost any thing that you could need when you're traveling. Most rentals only have a few if any of these "extras". Examples include: laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, 20+ spices, zip lock bags, dish washer tabs, flour, sugar, plenty of bottled water. FYI, pool isn't heated and was pretty cold for our visit. The pool/patio area was awesome to hang out.

If there are better AirBnB hosts out there, I really don't know how. After a 12 hour drive, our car broke down just 8 minutes from the house on 295. Knowing no one in Jacksonville, we didn't know what else to do than call Vicky. With a tow truck already enroute, and an Uber, Vicky hurried to the interstate with her husband to help! They were willing to help take a load of our luggage and my wife back to the house while I rode with the Uber driver and our children. They also allowed us to hang in the house just slightly past checkout due to an unforseen circumstance before traveling back home. They gave local recommendations and were incredibly responsive. Would highly recommend - 10/10 house and hosts!!! Thank you!
