On the doorstep of countryside Essex, with gorgeous walks in a historic village location with great local amenities - a clean and spacious double en-suite room with fantastic transport links to London and Cambridge and only a short drive away from the charming Saffron Walden market town. Need more space? Check out our other listing at the address called The Countryside Studio A spacious and stylish en-suite bedroom with a kitchenette, bathroom, sofabed, WiFi, and smart TV. Newport is a charming historic village with a fantastic local store, pharmacy, 2 pubs, an Indian restaurant, and a pizza place. Our bedroom is just off the main road tucked away on a quiet cul de sac on the doorstep of countless countryside walks. Please note we have the occasional train passing.

We had a lovely weekend stay here. There was plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. It's a single lane down to a group of properties but then has an allocated parking spot so no worries about getting parked. An occasional fast train zips by but does not disturb and the location was very peaceful. The Radhuni on the High Street served a good curry but no alcohol licence so you bring your own. Would happily stay here again.

The stay here was perfect. The room was exactly as described, clean, and easy to find. The host was incredibly responsive to my questions and provided very clear and helpful instructions.
