Retreat to our 4000sq ft home in Algoma County. Every day is a new landscape and the best part of this house is the incredible view from every room! You can either soak in the famous Lake Huron sunsets from the deck or by a cozy fire in the great room. Our 3-bedroom home is spacious, comfortable, and private with a quiet and serene 7-acre lot and only a 5min drive to Thessalon. You can kayak, paddleboard, swim, hike the trails, snowmobile, and cross-country ski right from the house. MUST BE A CAT LOVER! We have two black cats, brothers named Ruby and Robbie, who are 3 years old and will be staying at the house. They are indoor/outdoor cats, so they do not require a litter box. They are easy-going and relatively low maintenance. They go in and out throughout the day. In the summer, they stay out at night and in the winter they stay in. They are very affectionate and in the warmer months will even come for walks with you. They just need their food dishes filled periodically. They are used to dogs and kids but will be shy at first. If you bring a dog or kids with you, they must be able to get along with the cats. THE PROPERTY Our home is located on 7 acres with 600 feet of shorefront and views that are a photographer's dream! On one side of the property is a 2.2 acre community-owned private boat launch. It's a short road that we and our few neighbours walk our dogs along. Past this road, is private 100 acres of privately owned conservation-protected lands. This is uninhabited to protect wildlife and trees, with a few walking trails. On the other side, we have a very friendly neighbour, but there is plenty of privacy between our property and theirs. MAIN LEVEL OF HOUSE: The main level of the house has a master bedroom with a queen bed, lake views and a luxurious and full ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, with an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. This bedroom has French doors onto the kitchen/dining area, so it is less private. The main living space includes the 'great room' with incredible views of the lake and the open-concept kitchen and dining area. There is also a wood fireplace and tv, a cozy place to lounge on cool days. On the main level, you'll also find the laundry room and the mud room. LOWER LEVEL The lower level has a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower) and a queen bed. An air mattress is available if needed for extra guests as this room is quite large. There is a lower level living space as well, with a tv, couch, and plenty of space to hang out with you and your family. This lower level is a walkout to the lakefront with similarly inspiring views! DECKS & PATIOS Both sides of the house have large decks the full length of the house. Entrance Side: The back side of the house, the main entrance, is a nice place to sit in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the front of the house. There are couches and a patio propane fire table. Lake View Side: The front of the house, facing the lake, has the best views of the lake! It's where you want to be for sunset. There are loungers, a BBQ, and chairs. Screened in Porch: There is also a screened-in patio area with a dining table set that sits 6 comfortably. Great place to have dinner and relax. DOCK & WATER TOYS We have a large dock that's put in every spring that you can swim off of. In the dock shed, there are paddleboards, a raft, floaties, and other water toys for you to enjoy! WIFI We have Starlink, which means the internet is reliable and fast! Both my husband and I work from home, so having reliable, fast internet has been a must!
