The Oak @ Buena Vista Bluffs is an upscale studio apartment (sleeps 2) nestled in the hills of Mentone in a very secluded area. Relax outside on the screened-in porch while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, snuggle up on the couch and read your favorite book! Let us spoil you here at The Oak! Our terrain is a bit rugged. The drive & parking areas are gravel. - Signed rental agreement & security deposit of $100 required - Pet Fee $60 per pet The Ridge is a spacious upscale studio apartment with a comfy queen bed and a kitchenette. There is a private screened in porch for you to sit and relax on while you soak in the gorgeous view of the surrounding trees and abundant nature!

The only drawback was the noise. Lots of noise coming from the units above and beside me.
The place was great. Coffee, comfort and eating was an issue for us. I didn’t mind not having a full kitchen but eating at the table that was provided wasn’t comfortable, it was actually pretty awkward. If we were able to move the furniture it would have helped but was instructed there would be a $100 fee if we moved furniture. Coffee is a big deal to us so we brought our own machine and beans which isn’t that big of a deal deal but if better machine would have been provided the would have been nice touch. Overall our stay was nice especially for the price. Noise one night was also an issue. We could hear the unit above us till midnight. They weren’t being disrespectful but could just hear movement.
So peaceful! It was simply lovely! Thankful they allow dogs. Can’t wait to go back!
This place was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! We spent one night and it was perfect. Looked just like the pictures. In the pictures I don’t think you can see that they have a tv, but the unit does and came with YouTube tv which was a pleasant surprise! Parking situation is a little bit tricky, very tight. Other than that it’s perfect!
Very quiet and cozy . Nice porch and good view.

Our terrain is a bit rugged. The drive & parking area are gravel. We find it easiest to pull in & park at a diagonal between the plants & then back out.

We are entrepreneurs who are always looking for our next project. We met & married in Auburn, Al., where we lived until 2013. We now call Fort Payne home! Bryan has a master’s in education and spent 10 years of his career teaching high school and junior college students. He played football in high school & college & has coached Football & golf. He loves public speaking, golf, watching documentaries, leading & challenging men, playing guitar & Dr. Pepper. He's "the world's best dad" our 5 kids say! Claire has a degree in Building Science & has spent the better part of the last 15 years growing their family of 7. She moved to NYC at age 18 to study architecture. She loves traveling & going on adventures with the kids! She's an organizer, designer, a huge fan of Dr. Pimple Popper, thrift stores, singing/songwriting, coffee, big salads & creatively making money. We love what we do with hosting. Claire will be your main communication & Bryan & our team will handle all the maintenance, grounds & technical needs! Claire has moved 26 times & loves helping our guests find a place to call “home” even if for only a night! We would love to meet you during your travels!
