Some great sites to check out close by are Durham Conservation Area, Eugenia Falls, Hoggs Falls, the Beaver Valley where you can hike the Bruce Trail to Old Baldy, Metcalfe Rock and also the Kolapore uplands that offers great hiking and cross country skiing.
Homestead Golf Resort where they offer 18 holes of golf, a restaurant and Wilders Lake which has great Bass fishing is only minutes away.
The nearest town for groceries, gas, LCBO or beer store is the small town of Durham.
The quaint village of Holstein is close by and the Holstein general store has an LCBO outlet as well as all your basic supplies. The Holstein Mill Dam park is also there and offers trout fishing in the pond.
Close by lakes are Wilders Lake, Irish Lake, Wilcox Lake and Lake Eugenia and they all offer great fishing as do most of the small streams in the area.
There are many close by conservation areas that offer hiking and bird watching.
Both Wasaga and Sauble Beach are located about 1 hour away.
The village of Blue Mountain is located 45 minutes away.
The beautiful Beaver Valley and Beaver Valley Ski Club are only 25 minutes away.
The quiet country roads are perfect for family bike rides as are the forested trails located on the property. There is also a large swimming pond on the property with sand beach, large dock with swim ladder, as well as kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, row boat and floaties for guests to enjoy during their stay all complimentary.
Children and adults alike get great enjoyment interacting with our resident goats (Drex and Rocket) and pot bellied pigs (Georgie, Posey, Pixie) who were rescues that will live their lives out on the property. There is also chickens on site where guests can pick their own farm fresh eggs to enjoy while staying on site.
This location is the perfect place to connect with nature and re energize.
