Can't praise Katherine enough. I was a virgin AirBnB user but my friend had used them before and was gushing in her praise of my choice. We were missing a bread knife and Katherine delivered one within a couple of hours. My friend would have liked some ice in her drinks but I wasn't bothered. Katherine could save some energy (and money) by advising on the heating a little more clearly but I think this was her first winter in the business and she intends to leave some clearer instructions. It was always cosy, warm and homely at the cottage and I can't wait to return. We took advantage of the summer house and even in mid April it was very pleasant and therapeutic. Very well placed to take full advantage of the late afternoon sun. For anyone wanting to explore Northumberland, this is the place for you!

We had a lovely short break in this extremely comfortable and well appointed accommodation and would thoroughly recommend it. We hope to return for another visit! Catherine was very helpful with instructions for everything and the cottage had everything we needed and was spotless.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Belford. The house was excellent; extremely spacious and comfortable. It had great kitchen facilities for cooking and the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. In terms of location Belford is very well placed for visiting Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne.

Had a wonderful stay at Katherine’s beautiful home. It has been so lovingly renovated and has all the features and home comforts you’d want for a cosy stay, including comfy bedding, blankets galore and fluffy towels. The view from the back garden is stunning, and the little sun house is perfectly positioned to make the most of this. We didn’t spend much time in Belford itself as we were exploring the sights of Northumberland, but it was lovely and peaceful. There is a chippy and a co-op literally down the road so very convenient. We took a wander to a local farm shop which was lovely and had a little cafe/ tea room too. Katherine was very responsive and helpful. She provided a little ‘guidebook’ via Air BnB with local recommended sights to see and places to eat. The cottage is a 10-15 min drive from Bamburgh and Holy Island, it was a great base for us and lovely to come ‘home’ to after a day of trekking around.
