The perfect artist’s retreat or romantic getaway. You won’t find whiskey at the bar here, but you can wake up with farm eggs, coffee, locally made bread & jam. This farm stay offers a refuge for people, plants, and animals just 15 minutes from McCormick’s Creek State Park and 30 minutes from Bloomington, Indiana. Saloon has one bed, bath, open concept kitchen, living, and dining areas. Stroll the rolling pastures & visit with the goats, donkeys, and alpacas. You get the entire saloon with open living, dining, and kitchen space, plus bedroom and full bath. Enjoy a firepit near the pond where you can make s’mores by the fire. Kitchen has microwave and vintage oven. Reservation comes with a refrigerator stocked with farm fresh eggs, a loaf of locally made bread, butter, homemade strawberry-jalapeño jam, coffee, cream, sweetener, cereal, and snacks. Saloon also has board games, puzzles, coloring books, record player, and books for entertainment. Please note, there is a somewhat high step to enter saloon without handrail. Saloon does NOT have Wi-Fi. We hope this space will encourage people to connect with each other—or themselves!—rather than the Internet. Bathroom also does NOT have a shower—only a claw foot tub for taking baths. One of the vintage stove burners does not work; otherwise, stove and oven are fully operational. Slow cooker is also available. Expect some bugs. We work hard to keep everything clean, but they still sometimes get in! This is a rustic stay perfect for guests who truly want to get away from the world and feel like they’re camping (but still sleeping in a clean, comfortable bed).
