Our stay at the Pool House was 'amazing'. Its position is very picturesque and peaceful. The use of the real fire was lovely in the evening, very cosy. We absolutely love the village too. Abi and Simon are wonderful hosts. We cannot wait to return. 5 stars and more from us!

A disappointing and upsetting experience booked for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had to leave after a few hours when we discovered at night that the property couldn’t be secured as the door couldn't be locked. The off-site housekeeper was unable to help and host Abi was in Hong Kong unable to be contacted - it was the middle of the night there. In our few hours at the Pool house we did cook ourselves a meal. However, it was necessary to wash everything beforehand as it was not in a usable state – everything had a greasy film and smelt very unpleasant! The state of the cupboards left a lot to be desired, crumbs and broken chocolate in bowls stacked on the shelves and open packets of food. Abi gave us a refund and held her hands up taking full responsibility for what happened, which meant a lot to us. She also offered us to return for free at a later date which we have declined as we feel unable to return somewhere with bad memories. Our 40th anniversary was completely ruined!

Absolutely spectacular! Tranquil garden/river setting. Amazingly comfortable pool house on the grounds of a charming 16th-century cottage. Absolutely idyllic! I am so grateful to have spent my Christmas Eve and Christmas night at this lovely location in Goring-on-Thames. The host Abi was amazingly helpful, and communication was perfect. My dream will be to one day return! (fingers crossed!)

Just perfect…. Beautiful pool house… beautiful surroundings… Abi and Simon are the perfect hosts… we most definitely will be coming to stay again…. Thank you for such a wonderful few days..xx
