No 14 is a quaint townhouse in Westport town with a double and twin bedroom and a sun room which converts to a single room. It fits 3 or 4 adults or a family of 4 or 5. The kitchen is new, spacious and well equipped. There's a workstation and high speed internet. The secure decked patio and garden are South facing. Some doorways are low so may not suit very tall people. The Greenway is close by. It's near shops, restaurants, cafes, bike rental and Westport House. There's onstreet disc parking. No 14 is a unique, comfortable and homely base for you to enjoy your stay. The house suits three to four adults max as it has one bathroom and will sleep a family of 4 or 5. We are equipped for families and have a travel cot, stairgates, baby bath, a highchair and a bed rail. The kitchen is newly renovated and well equipped with cooking equipment. On sunny evenings you will enjoy having a bite to eat on the decking. The deck area has a gate separating it from steps up to the garden making it safe for small children. The garden is full of greenery with grassed areas. On chilly evenings you can light a fire in the sitting room or enjoy the last of the light in the sunroom. We have a work station set up on the landing, to facilitate home working. A second workstation can be created in the sitting room. As it is an old house, some doorway openings are low which may be difficult for very tall people.
Anna was a most gracious hostess! Her welcome basket of food was much appreciated as was her flexibility in allowing us to check out a bit later to match up to the bus schedule. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked nearly every day of our 1.5 week stay. Westport was a great base for us as we were able to take public transportation to places like Achill Island and Connemara National Park. We also appreciated having the Greenway so nearby! We really enjoyed our time in Westport!
The house has three levels. There is a separate hall into the house, a large sitting room,newly fitted kitchen with all amenities. If there are children there are safety gates at the top and bottom of stairs. Mid level there is a small quiet sitting area looking out on to a large garden. The top level is a twin bedded room with very comfortable beds, a double bedroom and a separate bathroom. Garden easily accessible. Very walkable into the town, 5 mins. For the centre of town 10 min. Convenience store across the road. Host very easy to contact and helpful. Would recommend.
Could not fault our stay at Anna and Willie’s lovely house. Anna was so helpful when contacting her about changes in schedule and she met us at check in to show us around the house. A perfect place to stay if you want a home away from home, just 5 mins walk in to the town.
This little piece of heaven is in walking distance to the center of Westport. Anna and Willie are very thoughtful and considerate hosts. As we walked in we were greeted by fresh fruit, cookies and everything you need for a perfect cup of tea. The house is cozy, practical and impeccably clean, with comfy beds in crisp white linens, a fireplace ready to be lit and a stocked fridge and pantry with all the necessary things to make you arrival as joyful as possible. We took an hour drive to Keem Beach on Achill Island and saw Basking Sharks for the very first time. The surrounding area are breathtaking and if you’re looking for some everyday magic Anna and Willie’s Townhouse no.14 is the perfect starting point.
We had a lovely stay at Anna & Willie's house. it was a home from home near train station and only short walk to anywhere in Westport. Imagine the garden be lovely in the Summer too. hosts were very responsive and easy to check in and out and they let us stay until our train was due. thanks for a lovely stay.
No 14 is located in the town of Westport. It is near the Mall, close to the Greenway and walking distance from cafes, pubs, shops, playground, swimming pools,etc. You can pop in the car and head to one of the many beaches in Clew Bay or out to Croagh Patrick. There are many lovely walks in the area. Heading north there is Achill and north Mayo to see and explore.
The house is 300m downhill from the railway station and 200m from the bus stop. On street parking with disc, €3 per day or 60c per hour. You can sometimes find a free spot to part locally too. Bike hire 100m away.
