Close by is Rosmoney pier where Adventure Islands adventure center, fishing tours and Mayo sailing center operate from. Westport golf club, Carrowholly stables and Trekking are close by. Waterfront property situated in a quiet scenic area surrounded by views of Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick and Clare Island. This large architect designed house has everything you need and is a great place to relax and disconnect from a busy life. Please note that the main living room is split level with with 4 steps leading into the area. We have wifi throughout the house. This place is good for couples, adventure seekers, business travelers, families and friends. The main living area is large and is the heart of the home. There is a stove In this space along with seating area and a smart TV, a 6 seater dinning table and chairs. Off this room is a well equipped kitchen, and also a sun room with panoramic sea views. The sunroom is used as a dining area and can seat up to 16 people. There is a separate sitting room for reading ,watching tv or playing board games. This room has a gas fire and smart TV. There are 5 bedrooms. It can sleep 13 people. For larger groups there is also the option of an additional bedroom which can sleep 2. There are 3 ground floor bedrooms. Bedroom 1: king bed with ensuite containing power shower. Sleeps 2. Bedroom 2: king bed with ensuite containing electric shower. Sleeps 2. Bedroom 3: 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Bathroom next door containing downstairs toilet and power shower. Sleeps 2. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1: King bed with bathroom containing jacuzzi bath and separate power shower. Outside balcony. Sleeps 2. Bedroom 2: This is next to bedroom 1 and contains 2 low level beds suitable for children or young adults. Sleeps 2. Bedroom 3: 1 King bed and 2 single beds. Bathroom next door containing power shower. Sleeps 4. There is a travel cot, 1 high chair and 1 bed rail for toddlers sleeping in a single bed. There are also stair gates at the top and bottom of the main stairs and a retractable stair gate in the main living area . There are also plastic plates, bowls etc for children's use. The house is a short drive to the award winning tourist town of Westport. Westport is a bustling town with lots of bars that have live music. There are good restaurants to choose from in Westport. There is also an option of ordering food for take out and having it delivered to the house by a local company. Alternatively there are catering company's the host can recommend. Also Local deli's have prepared meals that can be purchased. Things to do: Adventure Islands, adventure center Rosmoney Pier is a short drive or cycle from the property. Sea Kayak or paddle board around the islands in Clew bay. Try a high speed boat trip, meet the seals and visit the Light House. Try sea swimming at Rosmoney pontoon. Carrowholly stables and trekking, horse riding center is close by and offers daily treks for all levels. Ride along the shore with Croagh Patrick mountain in the background. Go fishing on a boat from Rosmoney pier or at The Quay Westport. Westport golf club is one of Irelands finest parkland courses and is a short drive away. Day pass can be purchased online. There is also a links course in Mulranny. For keen golfers Carne golf course near Belmullet is well worth a visit. Mayo sailing club is a thriving club located on Rosmoney Pier. There are a diverse range of activities going on throughout the season. Cycle the 42km Great Western Greenway from Westport to Achill. Bike rental company's in the area offer a shuttle service to get you back if your legs get tired. Visit The Greenway Lane art studio-cafe and try one of Maureen 's workshops. She offers acrylic pouring, alcohol ink and resin workshops all followed by afternoon tea. There are many beaches along the coastline of Westport, Mulranny and Achill. Betra, Old Head, Carrowmore Beach, Carrowniskey, Cross and Silver strand. Mulranny beach, Keel and Keem bay in Achill. Try paddle boarding or kayaking at Old Head beach with Summer Sup and Kayak school. Surfing is available at Mayo Surf at Carrowniskey Strand. Rentals and lessons are available at each location. Surf le Tomas is a option available in Achill Island. There are lots of mountains and trails in the region that attract those seeking an active holiday. Croagh Patrick is Irelands holy mountain and there is a small church on top. You can climb the mountain anytime but many people climb it annually on what is known as "Reek Sunday". Terra Firma, are a local company that offer a lot of options for day hikes and tours in Mayo/Connemara & Sligo together with a 16 seater mini bus. Visit Westport House, a historic home built on a beautiful estate. Take a tour of the house and gardens. Families can purchase a daily ticket to visit the Pirate adventure park. In Spring 2024 a new adventure park is opening with zip lines, climbing walls etc. On wet days there is a cinema in Westport town. Beside this is Westport leisure center offering tourists a place to go to the gym and or go for a swim. Younger children may want to visit the Wild West Indoor play center. There is also Ealu escape rooms for teens and adults. There are numerous health spa's offering services in the area too. Connemara is 50km away and is an ideal day trip. Take a cruise on Killary Fjord, go to see Aasleagh Falls, visit Kylemore Abbey or Connemara National Park. Diamond Hill is a popular hike from the park. There are 2 adventure company's close to leenane village, Delphi resort and Killary adventure center.
