The house is located in a secluded cul de sac just 1.25 miles from Westport town centre, one of Ireland's most beautiful and popular coastal towns, lively throughout the year with music, art and food festivals, sporting events, restaurants, bars and nightlife to enjoy year round.
Westport is based along the Wild Atlantic way on the shores of Clew Bay in Co. Mayo, offering a plethora of outdoor and cultural activities for all ages to enjoy. Only 40 minute drive from Achill island the location of the multi-award winning film, 'The Banshees of Inisherin'.
Westport has been voted the ‘Best Place to Live’ in Ireland by The Irish Times. It's a designated Heritage Town and Clew Bay is said to have a island for every day of the year. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the town itself is just 1km from the coast. In and around the town, is the Greenway, which uses disused railway to create peaceful and safe pathways for walking, cycling, sightseeing and enjoying the local scenery.
The English novelist, William Makepeace Thackeray, visited Westport and wrote of the town:
"The most beautiful view I ever saw in the world. It forms an event in one's life to have seen that place so beautiful that is it, and so unlike other beauties that I know of. Were such beauties lying on English shores it would be a world's wonder perhaps, if it were on the Mediterranean or Baltic, English travellers would flock to it by hundreds, why not come and see it in Ireland!"

Head East towards Castlebar for National Folk Museum at Turlough Park, Castlebar, and Cong - where the film 'The Quiet Man' was filmed.
North Mayo is the site of the ancient Ceide Fields.
Just 40 minutes drive South East of Westport is the Irish speaking Gaeltacht area of Tourmakeady with it's beautiful woodland walk and waterfall and Lough Measc Distillery.

The closest airport is Knock, Ireland West International airport located about 50 minutes drive from Westport.
Shannon Airport to Westport is approx 2 hrs driving.

TRAIN:
Westport is served by train, with several services a day into and out of the town for Dublin and other parts of the country.
NATIONAL BUS SERVICE: Bus Eireann runs a bus network in and around the area serving Westport and nearby regional cities, towns and villages.
CAR:
Westport is located on the Western seaboard 160 miles from Dublin, which takes approximately 3 hours 15 minutes by car, or 50 miles North of Galway.
The house itself, is located 1.25 miles from the town centre, and about 0.5km from the famous Greenway, which leads to miles of beautiful walking, jogging or cycling all around Westport and as far as Achill island some 40 miles away for the more adventurous.
It's a 20 minute walk from the town centre over the more rural Sandyhill road, offering beautiful views over Clew Bay, or 3 minutes by car or taxi to Westport town centre.
