Property is beautiful and has amazing views. If your renting it for the water and dock use be ready to climb a ton of steps that are all very uneven and numerous trip hazards! I had 2 of my family members fall just trying to get down to the water. My mother inlaw opted out of even trying to make it down to the water. They should show more photos of the steps and give a warning. Bill was a great host and even allowed us to arrive early!!

This property is a beautifully refurbished lake house with incredible views! The interior was well equipped with everything that we needed for a getaway and was very clean. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to our requests. The property is very spacious. We had more than enough room for our large family to hang out and eat meals. My favorite part of the house was the outdoor patio area - it was very large with amazing views overlooking the lake! Lake access is just down the steps from the patio and was extremely worth it! Wampler’s Lake is perfect for boating so I highly recommend renting the large pontoon if it’s available for cruising and visiting the sandbar.   If you’re looking for a lake house, this is the perfect choice! Prime location, amenities, lake views/access and a great host. Can you ask for more? I will certainly be staying again!

The house was very beautiful and peaceful since it was right next to a nature preserve. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is perfect for a large family or friends getaway since it has two refrigerators and two dishwashers which made cooking for large parties much easier. There is plenty of seating both indoor and outdoors and the scenery overlooking the lake was great. Bill was so responsive and even put in curtains the day we asked for them. The only thing I wish we knew ahead of time would be that you cannot swim at the house since it is very shallow and weedy for a long ways out and that it is a lot of stairs to get down to the water, so older people may have a hard time getting to the water and back up. A boat rental is essential in order to go to the sand bar where you can hang out and swim. Only two kayaks are adult friendly but we used them every day. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!
