The Griggsly Bear Retreat is the realization of years of dreaming. My wife and I have always loved the peaceful feeling we experience when we travel to the mountains to relax and hike in order to slow down a little. We loved it so much that we decided to buy our dream house on a mountain! Your stay is in the basement below the main living area - MAMA BEAR! Come experience 8 acres on Lone Mountain and enjoy a piece of our dream! Enjoy the peace and quiet. Go for a walk... or even a hike! The Griggsly Bear Retreat is the perfect combination of convenient location and a place to get away from it all. 8 acres on Lone Mountain combined with walking distance from the Clinch River, it has all the peace and quiet you are looking for while also being minutes away from so many other local attractions such as Norris Lake, Downtown Knoxville, Downtown Clinton, and Oak Ridge. The Mama Bear "unit" is the basement below the main cabin living quarters. It is large space with open concept kitchen, living room, and game room area! It includes a master bedroom with king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bunk bed, and a queen sleeper sofa. The unit comfortably sleeps 8 adults! The windows looking out at one of the best sunset views makes for a perfect place to start or end a day in the peace and quiet that Lone Mountain provides. The game room comes stocked with games for kids and adults as well as a full size tournament style ping pong table.

Our family of four had the most incredible time at Mama Bear cabin in Clinton, TN. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing us with restful nights. Tucked away in a secluded location, we were able to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of nature while still enjoying a short drive to Knoxville. The hosts were exceptional, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. From the well-stocked amenities to the warm hospitality, they made us feel right at home. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem and create more cherished memories. We highly recommend Mama Bear cabin to anyone seeking a perfect family retreat.

Wow! We were so glad to stay in Drew's space ...we stayed in the Griggsly Bear Retreat - Mama Bear space and felt very comfortable. Drew was a great communicator with several helpful notes and easy check-in information. This was the perfect private getaway for our family to rest in. It was also convenient to our planned activities in Knoxville and Clinton areas. We're hoping to come back again!

The Griggsly Bear Retreat - Mama Bear is your private getaway in the Lone Mountain Farm Subdivision that rests on the edge of the Clinch River.
The Lone Mountain Neighborhood is the perfect little surprise! With its proximity to a major highway and the interstate making it convenient to get to downtown Knoxville, Norris Lake, or Oak Ridge, the large lots on rolling hills and Lone Mountain itself are a pleasant surprise.
One way in and one way out leads this neighborhood to be the perfect place for a quiet and peaceful walk.

出行信息

The Griggsly Bear Retreat is positioned on Lone Mountain herself and is up a STEEP driveway. There is parking in a short pull off on the left as you approach the detached garage for you to park. There are 3 additional gravel spots at the top that are flat behind the house.
NO PARKING at top of driveway on the concrete. This will block people in and eliminate turn around spot. Only park on the incline spot to the left or the flat spots behind house on the gravel.
Once parked, you will walk down the stairs along the driveway to the basement. Make yourself at home both inside AND outside of the basement. Go for a walk down the mountain or if you dare... head up it for a challenging hike!
